It does. The tag is not updated. I will remake these mods.
waffleman 15. aug. 2024 kl. 8:32
does this work in 1.5?
Game_Wizard213 24. nov. 2023 kl. 23:18
please update
Argón  [ophavsmand] 14. aug. 2023 kl. 17:50
It's really just a replacement to the literal item you need to refuel the turret. I don't know how CE works in depth but my guess is that it shouldn't affect it at all.
MichalPl111 14. aug. 2023 kl. 1:14
can you make it work with CE?
Argón  [ophavsmand] 18. mar. 2023 kl. 11:09
It should
DartMada 18. mar. 2023 kl. 8:29
this still work? 1.4?
Argón  [ophavsmand] 24. mar. 2022 kl. 18:06
It should, the mod is quite simple, but I never tested it
GGabe.~[BarrileteCósmico] 24. mar. 2022 kl. 16:06
does it work on multiplayer?
Maya 6. feb. 2022 kl. 10:35
I think for Yayo's combat the suggestion should be for EM-metals so the ammo can be made with it's metals instead of steel only
Argón  [ophavsmand] 31. dec. 2021 kl. 13:42
Well this mod is just ammo for turrets, and it's also just an item replacement, so I don't know if it could really be compatible with yayo or any other ammunition mod at all
Pamparampampamparam 31. dec. 2021 kl. 12:41
Really? I don't just mean for turrets, I mean can we use the ammo from this mod to replace the ammo used by pawns for their own weapons. I didn't see Yayo on the compatibility chart so I assumed it didnt.
Argón  [ophavsmand] 31. dec. 2021 kl. 12:26
I think just loading this mod after yayo's should do the trick
Pamparampampamparam 31. dec. 2021 kl. 12:05
Is there a patch or something to replace Yayo's ammunition with the ammunition from this mod?
Cato 21. dec. 2021 kl. 4:24
The only Turret mod I use is Wall Mounted Turrets - as it adds simple defensive options for narrow corridors. If you ever included a simple patch for that I would be very happy.
Argón  [ophavsmand] 17. nov. 2021 kl. 17:56
Yes, it's pretty quick and easy to patch modded turrets, so if you got time maybe you can open a discussion and list there some of the mods you want, I honestly never used any turret mods at all, but there's no problem with patching them anyway
Thundercraft 17. nov. 2021 kl. 16:24
Ahh... I wasn't aware that patches were needed for this to work with modded turrets. :steamsad: (I guess I was just hoping otherwise. Some mods seem able to parse the contents of other mods or predict how most of them operate to work with them without specific patches.) Perhaps you could add patches for a couple of the top - most popular turret mods?
Argón  [ophavsmand] 16. nov. 2021 kl. 2:47
The mod should be patched first, so I'll need to know which mods are people willing to use so I can patch. Regarding the ammunition type used by turrets, I believe it wouldn't be as easy to make options to select ammo for each turret.
Neothardus 16. nov. 2021 kl. 2:11
Hi Argon,
How will your mod react to turrets from other mods?
I mean, if I install a mod with custom turrets, will I be able to use your custom materials / ammo to reload them or not?
Is there also an option to select which kind of ammo shall be used for each turret?
Argón  [ophavsmand] 25. okt. 2021 kl. 4:56
If it doesn't add ammo for turrets then I guess it's fine. Remember this is not an ammunition system, just a material replacement.

Argón  [ophavsmand] 29. aug. 2021 kl. 6:12
Well, I may need to reformulate that answer. I added that to the FAQs because when I first published this mod, a lot of people asked for "CE compatiblity" and I guess most of them didn't even try the mod first, just because it said "ammo". So to put things clear, I've never used CE on my life, so I don't accurately know what is added by that mod aside from a completely different combat system. I've heard they add new values to materials and stuff also.

That answer means that the mod doesn't really add an ammo system or a complex game mechanic, it just replaces the materials (steel) turrets used to be refueled with a new item called "ammunition" but it works the same. What I've heard is that CE has its own ammunition system for turrets, and using it along with this mod is pointless because CE already has its own ammo for turrets and it will make this mod useless if you use them together.
Thundercraft 28. aug. 2021 kl. 23:47
"Q: CE compatible?
A: Well, this mod does not really adds different ammunition that can be used by all the turrets nor that have different properties, it only replaces the vanilla refueling resources like steel, uranium or components with new, more cost-efficient ammunition items.''

Please excuse me for being dense, but I don't quite follow. Does this mean that this mod is compatible, in compatible, or partially compatible with CE? The above answer suggests, to me, that it should be partially or fully compatible with CE. But when look at your "mod compatibility spreadsheet" that you link above, I see it shows Combat Extended as being quote, incompatible in red.

If it is only partially compatible, then what part of these mods conflict or won't work as expected?
Argón  [ophavsmand] 18. aug. 2021 kl. 17:53
Seems like a good suggestion
Reprogrammed Automaton 18. aug. 2021 kl. 17:48
Would it be posible to make the cannons in SOS2 take uranium ammunition instead of uranium itself? I have... tried multiple times myself to no avail. :/
Emilie Sackenball 31. juli 2021 kl. 14:29
Ah if this is only ammo for turrets I guess is fine cause Yayo adds ranged pawn weapon ammo
Argón  [ophavsmand] 31. juli 2021 kl. 12:34
I don't know, this is just an item replacement for steel/components/plasteel in turrets. If Yayo adds another ammo system for turrets, then the chance it that it's not ccompatible.
Emilie Sackenball 31. juli 2021 kl. 9:44
it's this mod compatible with Yayo combat 3 adopted?
McLenwe 23. juli 2021 kl. 5:01
Just want to let you know that there is an error in your compatibility spreadsheet. (atleast I think it is) Ammunition should be compatible with the "Vanilla furniture expanded - Security module" and not "Vanilla furniture expanded - Spacer module". ;)
Argón  [ophavsmand] 3. juli 2021 kl. 22:26
Oh, I thought you were talking about the single autocannon. Well the amount of ammunition needed to refuel the turrets does not correspond to a specific nor proportional relation with the amount of shots. It is just related to how the ammunition is still cheaper than the vanilla refueling material.
Argón  [ophavsmand] 3. juli 2021 kl. 22:15
Wait, what? 899? I guess something's wrong. It won't harm your save if you remove it mid-game, at least in theory, maybe your turrets will bog a little.
Tardo The Ass-Monkey 3. juli 2021 kl. 22:10
How badly will this break things if I were to remove it mid game? I like the concept, but the numbers don't really make sense and it is quite annoying, at least where VFE Turrets are concerned. For example, a military turret can fire 240 shots and needs 320 ammo to reload; fine, I guess it makes sense. But a double autocannon turret has 180 shots, and requires 899 ammo to reload? Why is it so high?
Argón  [ophavsmand] 23. apr. 2021 kl. 5:35
I don't think so... however, there's a bug I'll solve soon with em - metals lite bc the emp and charge bullets still require lithium and tungsten
Sharp Kisses 23. apr. 2021 kl. 4:31
any update on the patch? I've been using this version together with EM Metals lite since I dont like the complete removal of natural steel, and since I am not at the point where I can get any highly advanced turrets its fine for now but I'm worried things will break sooner or later
Argón  [ophavsmand] 2. apr. 2021 kl. 9:52
I just noticed the pulse and emp ammo both use materials not included in lite, so it will cause an issue, however, these two ammo types are only available if you use VFE - Security. I'll get it patched for lite version asap
Argón  [ophavsmand] 2. apr. 2021 kl. 9:50
Yes, it will. I'll fix the mod requirements soon so that it'll show you that any version should work
🅸🅻🅻🆄🅼🅸 2. apr. 2021 kl. 7:40
As it needs expanded metals, will the lite version do?
Argón  [ophavsmand] 9. mar. 2021 kl. 5:46
Sure thing, seems easy, I'll consider it
NorthRaider123 8. mar. 2021 kl. 21:14
would it be possible for you to make a patch for this mod? it adds ammo for VWE Heavy weaponss and i think it could benefit from using some of the ammo types you've made in this mod.

Rimatonics?
Argón  [ophavsmand] 16. feb. 2021 kl. 12:43
Thank you, yes I'll update soon, don't worry :D
Alexandr 16. feb. 2021 kl. 9:44
Although EXCEEDINGLY minor... you may want to change the instances of 'chargue' to 'charge' in the labels/descriptions at some point when doing an update if you want to get rid of a typo/misspelling. Excellent mods, by the way! I'm about to embark on a play-through with this and Expanded Materials and can't be more excited!
Argón  [ophavsmand] 13. feb. 2021 kl. 16:13
I'`ll see what can I do, I'd love to receive help improving my work
FedyaTut 13. feb. 2021 kl. 15:28
I'm not a modder, just a quick modification of an existing mod for compatibility.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AT57sCUVkp4twqd9bznHcPWwNUtnLXoM/view?usp=sharing
@Argón It would be nice if you could add it to your mod and improve it.
Ydrials 13. feb. 2021 kl. 10:26
Hey could you share your mod of that mod? @FedyaTut
FedyaTut 12. feb. 2021 kl. 23:48
based on the Realistic Ammunition Crafting mod ( https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2061977417 )
I modified this mod for expanded metals. it does not add anything either, but just changes the recipes for creating CE ammo. it works as it should.
Ninja 12. feb. 2021 kl. 23:25
This is every Rifle Weapon needs ammunition
SteveZero 12. feb. 2021 kl. 17:41
@Jackie Daytona, did a bit of testing, seems to work fine with Yayo's Combat 3 ammo, no conflicts.

@Argon, nice concept. I'm already using your materials mod, so I'm going to give this a try for sure. You should check out Yayo's Combat 3 if just for the ammo (you can disable the rest of the mod's features in the config settings). This mod seems to have a good synergy with the ammo from that mod. It's the same concept (and similar naming convention), but for gun ammo instead of turrets. This and that mod are the best alternatives to CE's ammo right now for 1.2.

btw, @Argon, you should put your Argon.VMEu mod as a dependency of this mod in the about.xml for consistency. :D
Argón  [ophavsmand] 12. feb. 2021 kl. 16:52
I don't know what yayo's mod adds, but I repeat, this mod does not add ammunition that can be used for every turrets, it is just a replacement for the original item that was needed to refuel them (steel, plasteel, components, uranium) and it takes adventage of the complexity that EM - Metals adds to make an addon that adds even more complexity to the game. If you mean the crafting of different items, then you should expect a compatibility patch for my other mod, Expanded Materials - Metals
Jackie Daytona 12. feb. 2021 kl. 16:17
will this work with yayo combat 3?
