Absolutely loving these man! So many interesting weapons that I'm discovering, and playing them always feels great! (Maybe work on some of the DR scopes, if you have the time / motivation though - some of them are too small, some of them are way too zoomed in and most are a bit pixelated) Keep it up! My favourite weapon is the Boys Anti-Tank Rifle!

What i'm trying to say is that this is the version used in the Winter War, it's the 1919 modification of the Fedorov

For some reason it does keep endlessly loading even though there are like 4 failsaves set to end the reload if "no ammo=true". My guess is that the game somehow is ignoring those conditions and just tries to loop until you have full ammo, the only solution i know is just changing guns sorry

I don't know if this is just my game or not but I was using the realistic version in battle when I had to reload. But I did not have enough ammo for a full load which I thought is nothing too serious but then my character was loading rounds and when he got to the last rounds he just kept doing the reload animation even after there was no ammo he kept doing the animation. It stopped after I swapped to my pistol and back but I don't know if that's just my game or a glitch in the gun's code.

So in theory, if you see another person with a Fedorov die and pick up their magazine, it'd not fit, or it'd do so loosely and it'd be a mess

This gun could not use magazines, since every single part of every single rifle was pretty much custom made due to factory limitations. This meant that not only was changing magazines basically impossible, it was also extremely easy to break in some conditions.
As for the claims that the Fedorov was an asault rifle, it's pretty hard to say so, since it fired full power Arisaka 6.5mm, which makes it closer to a machine gun like the Type 11

In real life they would of only used clips or maybe if they picked up a mag from a fallen comrade then they may of changed mags in a heated situation.

So did the "arcade" version, as depicted in BF1, not actually exist?

This is a WW2 project, in 1939 and 1940 the Russian Empire didn't exist, and this gun was used by the Soviet Red Army in the invasion of Finland, which is why we made it

It's actually an LMG that fires the same ammunition as the Arisaka rifles, also it was used in the Winter War, aka WW2
