when i walk into a barnacle i stop mid air while the tongue thing move up and then come back down but it works normally with npc's

what does fancy death do?

could you make it so when a barnacle eats a victim it will always pass the eligibility check / add that as a toggle-able feature?

if your game crashes just get a replacement model like half life 1 barncale or get a different one

My game still crash when I spawn him in and I thought this will fix it but no I still crashes.

The upgrade I didn't know the Barnacles needed but now they have it, they can't do without it. Will be using this every time I want to play with Barnacles now.

okay after opening gmod the next day it works again
wonder what was causing it to break earlier though

i remembered i used this in the past so i decided to check it out again. it worked fine at first but after a few minutes the spreading seemingly stopped working. its mostly default settings but eligibility and spread are at max with update timer length now since i wanted to see if it would help but even after waiting a bit and checking the entity report, nothing. no errors from the addon either

it would be cool for a xen infestation mod from half life alyx or half life 1 where it would spawn plants and whatever

should make a switch that makes the players neck snappable by it, dying, and it will only eat the ragdoll.

man, i wish this mod could make them eat everything like half-life Alyx but hey who knows?

Is there an option / mod that allows you to save npcs from barnecles before the barnecle bites? Or before the npc dies.

Dunno why, but for awhile now, whenever an NPC touches a Barnacle Tongue, the ragdoll goes flying at lethal speeds instead of being eaten.

I know it's not this mod, but I have so many installed that I haven't the faintest idea of where to even start to look. Trying to comb through each one would take forever, and uninstalling and reinstalling all of them is... not an option thats really open to me.

Suggestions are both welcome, and desperately needed.

If they don't eat players, make sure "ignore players" is off as they won't do anything then other than to npcs. Other than that though I will need more info if there are problems on your end, saying "it don't work" isn't going to help. I just used it and it worked absolutely fine, never ran into any problems like that on my end, I am not seeing the same problems and so I will need more info.

It still works perfectly fine for me (just used it yesterday on a friend's server), maybe it isn't working on one of the branches? I don't have any problems personally though, they spread, interact, etc just fine, maybe try tinkering in the settings if it seems jank, they are super janky npcs regardless and could just have a conflict with another addon perhaps, etc.

Why do they lose their functionality after using this mod, they won't prey on NPCs, and it's useless to cancel your subscription

Only mod installed and its not working, its not eating players the model just goes away and nothing else yet it multiplies

can you disable their multiplying thing

also, dont type hl2_episodic 1 into the console in any source game that isn't gmod, found out yourself if you do.

also, just saying, im not sure i ever saw an npc naturally attack a barnacle outside of the mod either...

They dont seem to be grabbing anyone, ignore players and disabled AI on or off.

This is my new favorite mod.

a killed non-human enemy will leave a tangible ragdoll and won't clean up, I guess it must need a corpse clean up system addon to work with.

Heres a godly idea: make Dr richard keller (npc) from half-life resurgence addon immune to the barnacles, instead he eats them!

Fixed. Also stopped barnacles from spreading onto the skybox roof, that was a weird situation where I had "thought" I added a check, but in reality it simply didn't exist at all, haha. Either way, the toggle should be working now and they also won't spread onto the skybox roof anymore as a bonus. Jank jank jank jank jank jank, and thanks for letting me know about that issue.
