Wow man, that is awesome. Sounds like you put a lot of work into this. So thank you for that. I have it Like an Faved and I am following you. I'm currently trying to get my existing modlist in orer so my guns will fire. I thought it might have been just age on some of the mods I use, but now I on't know. I'm still pretty new to the game an I think I may have fallen into the newbie trap of installing everything that looks an sounds awesome. I'm trying to slim down my list but it is hard to ecide what to keep an what to unsub from. I got rid of about three pages, but I still have roughly twenty left. And that is twenty pages of thirty. A lot of them are civilian vehicles but more ate military vehicles from K15. I tried to find vieos or whatever to help me ecide what to keep an what to get rid of. Anyway, I'm sorry again for such a long post. Have an awesome day.

Also, the images are a little out of date. I went over this mod a couple months ago to bring it up to my current standards for texture work, including more of the detailing present on vanilla zed textures. It's pretty much just that though, extra detailing. (This sadly meant retiring the favourite, at least among my friends, glasgow-smile zombie for the white male zombie in order to let the game create more randomly generated ones... otherwise there'd be a LOT of them)

As far as antibiotics go, I think they only cure wound infections, which are different from both the fake infection and zombie virus. Though I haven't tested that...

It's just a texture mod, as Dead of Winter (what I based the zombie appearance on) follows a very traditional 'if you're bit you're fucked' method. If you want an experience like that it is very achievable with vanilla. I'd add the mod Susceptible which simulates an airborne component to the plague when the trait is enabled (or you can turn it on globally for all characters in the sandbox setting) - and turn infection mortality onto Never. You will still absolutely get sick from infection points, bites and lacerations, etc, but they'll always be 'fake' infections. Don't let that lull you into a sense of security, you can and *will* die from 'fake' infections. They're like really bad wound infections and you need to treat them as seriously as you'd try to survive the zombie infection in vain. Using those settings, I'm sure you can get the intended effect you want.

@Goblin Conscript Hey man, this mod sounds amazing.. I will be sure to check it out very soon. I had always been interested in the events of the "Black Death" that hit Europe and the rest of the known world at the times they hit. After the first round of the Black Death, which was after The Great Famine, it hit Europe hard coming in the form of Bubonic plague and Pneumonic Plague. And most of the doctors at that time had no way to fight it or cure it. It's a shame they in't discover antibiotics back in the 14th century instead of the early 20th century. From what I remember, it reduced the world population to around 300 million give or take. Oh geesh, I'm very sorry for rambling on. lol. A question on my mind is did you include a way for the plague to be contracted by the player and a way to cure it being antibiotics? Or is this just a texture mod? Sounds awesome either way. lol .Liked, faved an followed.

Hi there, could you provide a screenshot please?

In build 41, zombies and players have modular wound systems that add an overlay when they recieve a certain type of wound. There are pre-existing 'flesh smile' wounds that zombies can spawn with. Are you sure it was not that?

Thanks and happy to help if something needs fixing.

Too cool!! I love DoW! :spiffo:
I have a physical copy myself. If you play it on Tabletop, add me!

Huh, alright then! I guess I've never really looked at them that closely since you don't have to pick them out specifically like you do with the survivors.

Additionally, this is reflected in my skins. PZ has eight zombie 'characters' - four male, four female. Each has four skins, the base (fresh infected) and levels 1-3. Each level is further along in their decay cycle, with 3 being the worst, most rotten zombies. In place of this, I added more cracked/decayed features around the eyes and mouth and more wounds and more big, juicier pustules as you can see on TLN zeds, but left the earlier ones to have fewer pustules and wounds to be more like the earlier DOW zeds and what they may look like upon initial infection.

Thanks keeping me on my toes!

@TheIdiot It's nice to meet another fan of the series! However, the zombies from the base Dead of Winter (which I own) do actually have pustules! Take a peek at these images of the zed standees from the first game :)

The zombies you're referring to with the pustules and gashes all over are actually from the "Long Night" expansion for Dead of Winter - the zombies in the original DOW game look more traditional. I believe the ones in LN look different due to biological experimenting by the Raxxon company (which is part of the expansion). Just to clarify.
