this was great. short and simple but so interesting, left many questions unanswered but not so many that it feels lacking. it just raises your interest in what was going on here even more. this mod made me realize how interesting and honestly easy it would be for skyrim to include these type of quests originally, with the simple use of notes, finding keys, etc. "investigations" that actually require you to think and analyze instead of following down to the millimeter specific quest markers. really interesting story too, fits in to the world without an issue, told in a neat way, and i love that it feels like this whole incident was completely unnoticed by the rest of the world. it makes you feel empty in a good way

Kind of disappointing. It had a really good buildup but then it ended right as it got really good.
Basioni 9. juli 2018 kl. 18:41
Very short and sweet

haunting story line. nice mod.
Retro Titan 3. sep. 2017 kl. 8:55
This simple mod leaves so many questions unanswered... and in doing so, makes us desire more.

It Beats For Her is short but sweet, with a subtle feel of despair that makes you feel almost lost... a feeling accentuated by the lack of quest markers, which forces you to actually think about what you're doing and as such... draws you just a little closer to the story.

Normally, I like some action to my mods... but this simple quest is a hearbreaking story that anyone can respect. I want to see more of this author... and you should too.

@CoolCat113: This should work without any DLC or mods.
Phoenix Knight 22. juli 2017 kl. 20:39
@coolcat: most likely the usleep patch and the dlc if anything.
IncompleteBasil 22. juli 2017 kl. 11:58
I have a question,
Do you need any other mods or DLC for this to work or no?
River 15. apr. 2017 kl. 11:59
Nvm i was stupid but i did it
River 15. apr. 2017 kl. 11:56

Phoenix Knight 28. jan. 2017 kl. 17:36
Played it, beat it, loved it. Please tell me this is just a teaser of a potential cross skyrim mystery? Without Quest Markers.
HotTopicCowboy 10. apr. 2016 kl. 22:25

I use SKSE. I recently unsubscribed to this mod and since then, I can't launch Skyrim. I even re-subscribed and moved it to the top of my load order (if that's wrong, please tell me). Please help, thanks!
Nefnoj 17. feb. 2015 kl. 11:36
Hm, well, I do wish there were more to the two rings, but other than that... THIS WAS AWESOME AND I LOVE IT. I especially love how you needed one ring to get to the other.
Sayonara Sidestep  [ophavsmand] 17. feb. 2015 kl. 7:12
Thanks for playing and commenting, folks! I welcome your feedback, be it positive or negative.

@Nefnoj: The rings have no additional gameplay benefit, apart from being able to sell them. Custom models would be cool, but I felt it wasn't a good use of my time when ordinary rings work just as well. As for combining this with other quests: I've had similar offers before, but I prefer this to be stand-alone.
Nefnoj 16. feb. 2015 kl. 16:54
This was the most terrifying thing I've ever seen in Skyrim, mosly because I didn't know what to expect, and the ambient noises, haha. So does it stop once you have the rings, all the notes, and the poem? Do the rings do anything? It'd be cool if you made custom models for it, or had someone make you some. Is there more? Also, I don't know if this is possible in terms of moddage, but it would be cool if it went towards the "Assist the People of Falkreath" miscellaneous quest.
Jimmy Neutron 26. jan. 2015 kl. 11:16
it was an ok mod way to short and anticlimatic when i read the desc i thought it was like a guy taking children and you had to stop him and save a little girls life but the storyline wasnt that bad just short
Martin Vetu 4. jan. 2015 kl. 10:13
Great work with the mod man! I would love if you expanded t a bit though, it felt so short.
Mickey's Friend 3. jan. 2015 kl. 18:53
great mod, but were they the same person?
AvaricePlayz 30. dec. 2014 kl. 20:25
veryinteresting havent found a decent quest mod like this in a while on steam workshop
Me 18. okt. 2014 kl. 3:24
This was a great mod... Up until the ending. I picked up the note on the table and was ready to solve the next riddle, only to see a message appear saying I'd completed the quest! Maybe next time it would be nice to have a small battle at the end (although I understand in this case it wouldn't have fitted with the story line) or just something a bit more dramatic. But, this sort of story-telling has a LOT of potential.

@aroundthefur79: It's a possibility, but I'm currently focusing on another game right now. I'm trying to do the projects that will best showcase my skills, as I'm trying to get into the games industry. I'm about to start a new project, codenamed Project Ghost, which is a quest for Shadowrun Returns: Dragonfall. I might return to Skyrim some day, but I'll be working on that first. As for mod recommendations: I haven't played much mods myself, but lots of sites have done write-ups with the best mods out there, so you should be able to Google those easily. Thanks for playing!
aroundthefur79 18. aug. 2014 kl. 0:29
I know this might be a little late to ask considering this is an old game but do you plan on making anymore mods?, I've only been playing Skyrim for about a year (personally I'm really not much a"gamer") but it soon became an addiction of some sorts.I've played/tried many different quest mods an this one sticks out to me alot as it isn't your typical o.p. weapons/armor/ kill so and so fetch quest, not that I don't appreciate them but they become boring after awhile. So if you ever make another one, that would be pretty awesome. Also is there any quest mods you really enjoyed and that you would reccomend>?
Sayonara Sidestep  [ophavsmand] 18. aug. 2014 kl. 0:03
Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments! It's great to see you enjoyed my little quest.
MatanC 17. aug. 2014 kl. 15:44
Great mod!
It's kind of annoying to move so much via doors, because of the load screens.
w.xscode 14. aug. 2014 kl. 6:36
WOW! Absolutely loved it! A perfect example of most often, less is more. Left me with a lingering feeling of sadness.. You sir, are a gifted storyteller.
aroundthefur79 7. aug. 2014 kl. 2:53
very simple and short but def a great Immersive quest!... Please make more or maybe add to the current quest. Great work!
Pat 2. aug. 2014 kl. 8:27

@ Veliremus ok thank you.
Sayonara Sidestep  [ophavsmand] 14. juli 2014 kl. 0:33
@ Chilled Paladin: Closely study the notes and you'll know where to look. If not, have a look through the comments here.

@ trav666 & Palkyon: Thank you both! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
trav666 13. juli 2014 kl. 12:32
A really nice change of pace for my blood soaked, genocidal maniac Nord. Really enjoyed it.
Shai Boi 11. juli 2014 kl. 19:19
I'm so confused, I'll look stupid asking this but where do I look in the cabin for the ring? I've found the strange notes already.
Valor Raptor 14. juni 2014 kl. 13:44
This is a great quest. I love a good mystery.:ss13ok:
jake 29. maj 2014 kl. 16:23
Ok thanks
Sayonara Sidestep  [ophavsmand] 29. maj 2014 kl. 10:22
@semperfi_ny: There are no jump scares. Any tension is purely psychological.
jake 26. maj 2014 kl. 16:37
if anyone can tell me if there are jumpscares that would be awesome
Jimmoman 24. maj 2014 kl. 16:29
still the best mystery in skyrim though
