@Fennecai: There is an FGD for an older "World Portals" mod, but it seems to still work almost flawlessly with Doors. I was able to use this in a map of my own that I haven't released yet

i wasnt able to sucessfully create a working portal with the doors mod (unless the fgd is linked somewhere and i didnt see it)

and even the main map already inches itself right up to the brush face limit, so unless i convert the map into a 3d model at skybox scale and port it back in to source engine (easy to do) then a 3d skybox wouldnt really work

Have you considered using 3D Skybox and Doors mod to make it repeat infinitely?
