Headlights aren't possible on mods as of yet, I will consider updating when the developer improves modding for the game.

I've noticed the locomotives don't have any headlights, will they be added with an update perhaps? would make it even better

If you find the Gottardo Re460 livery, you can now make your own liveries for this loco. All the required files are included with the other upload. Check in LegacyLiveries or my collection.

You can certainly doublehead, it would be entirely possible as the locomotives are MU equipped and all modern coaches have the equipment installed to take control signals from a cab car to the locomotive.

All modern rolling stock is MU capable, it's only some older stock that has not been converted. I.e. the Ae6/6 I have also uploaded is not MU equipped irl so would typically not double head.

I have seen consists of only these locomotives run without coaches.

These are unit trains they do whatever. The coaches are all UIC standard and can be coupled to any other UIC standard vehicles. The locomotive is merely an electric passenger loco that is also UIC standard and can pull anything.

I've never seen a BT-B-A-Re460 consist coupled to another BT-B-A-Re460 but it would be a waste of tractive effort.

I have seen BT-B-A-Re460-B-BT consists with the locomotive sandwiched in the middle. These are not fixed consists.

Those are in fact not eurofima coaches. Eurofima coaches, also known as UIC-Z coaches, have the doors at the end of the body.
