Units are indeed very very OP, you can test this: Create a custom battle, one side the player with just one unit and the ai using Egypt and only with the most elite units added by this mod. On the other side Rome with its most elite units (Strongest faction in vanilla). The Modded Egypt will mop the floor with Rome easily.
Hopefully the author is a hero and can give this one extra balance pass

I am loving this mod. Can you also "Egyptify" the Hellenic/Succesor units in Egypt's roster so they are more unique and thematic? Makes sense that in Egypt's hot weather even their overlords would adapt some equipment for desert use :steamthis:

I updated the stats of the weapons also the armors, I believe this should give a good balance now. I’m going to try to fix the rest bugs but I’ll stop working on the mod after this

adding onto ebimayoman's comment, im doing a campaign as Persia, i have ten armies, i invaded Egypt with four. I attacked one Egyptian army with two of my own armies, even though they only had four units from this mod in their army, their Egyptain Sword units each got from 3-600 kills. The way they shred everything is actually kind of crazy.

I love your model, best mod for me.

but added units are little overpowered... when I make army with Egyptian heavy sword or spear,
no one attack my army even they have over 30 units.
and I can always overwhelm AI's army in Auto resolve.
I think Egyptian units should be nerfed in stats or unit size.

IMO, balance breaker is okay,but AI doesn't attack too strong units.
only 8 elite Egyptian infantry easily destroy AI's attack motivation.(seriously, I tested.)
so their stats will be reconsidered.

Nice models for sure, a job well done!

As many people have said before me, the balance is nowhere to be found. The Egyptian heavy swords cut through Armoured Legionnaires as if they were Plebs. Armour rating is so high they barely take casualties from javelins and weapon damage in combination with infantry bonus is high enough to one shot said legionnaires.

They should perform on a level that makes them worth their recruitment cost and upkeep, not perform ten times as efficient as all the other units in the game.

Absolutely terrible mod, you've utterly nerfed the units. Infantry run faster than light cavalry and the generals bodyguard cut through thousands of enemies with no casualties. Had to abandon a 60hr campaign because of this.

Good comments and questions already! One I haven't found is whether it's possible to add these units to the other campaigns that may include Egypt? Like Imperator Augustus?

Perhaps not feature worthy but if I can try my hand at editing the mods if someone has some pointers. Thank you!

I like this mod, but the heavy infantry units are way overpowered which is a bit of a turn off, i am more happy with just the reskins

Visually, this mod is absolutely beautiful! The attention to details for the infantry is striking.

Stats-wise, though, the new units are overpowered and crush any opposition. I had the unpleasant surprise of facing Egyptian armies in Grand Campaign that make Egypt an impossible adversary. A bit sad because, while it's visually pleasant to face some more varied Egyptian armies, in their current shape I do not recommend to use the mod in campaign, because the units are not balanced

@cpt_Moroni For me thats fine because the range difference of 25m is not getting an effect for the hole campange. Will be a small Bonus of the celts. So for me its not a must for changing these archer settings or do you make bad experiences with that archer settings ? Greetings RE4Lsports
