Well the roofs are there now haha.. And the system you are thinking of is the edifice one which based off my testing many moons ago, does not work like you would want it to. If I am wrong though send me a demo of it working with the roofs coming off and I will absolutely update the map.

dont put a roof on the building, or I think in the buildings settings(here you see textmods) there might be a thing where like in normal MOW campaigns you can enable the xray view of the building while troops are in it.

Unfortunately that is really the only way. There isn't a way as far as I know to create edifices using the assets which I did.
