@Twink315 would it be okay to update and maintain this mod as part of a collection? I love it but I know how hard it can be to maintain old mods you aren't interested in updating anymore.

Have you thought about updating the species to look more like the new humanoid portrait that was added but with pointy ears?

@Be'lakor or use my mod I mentioned below that fixed the hair issues.

But I gues people do not read comments and ill just link it here till author updates this mod or someone els.

To fix the hair issue, do the following.

1.) Go to where the workshop mods are installed (in my case "Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/workshop/281990")

2.) Open folder "2307773954"

3.) Open "gfx"

4.) Open "Portraits"

5.) Open "Portraits"

6.) Open "humanc_humanoid.txt" in a text editor.

7.) Press CTRL + H (Find and Replace)

8.) In "Find" enter "hair_selector" (no quotes), in "Replace" enter "attachment_selector" (no quotes) and press "Replace All".

9.) Save the file.

10.) Repeat steps 6-9 with the other two .txt files as well.

Just a modding question from someone interested in making portraits. When it comes to designing clothes/hair, how do you know it'll fit the body? Is there any sort of way I can 'paint' onto the body image and have it transfer like for like or is it just a pure guessing game of where hairs/clothes will line up on the body?

@Azona, they changed the portrait IDs of old human model, thats why this mod shows blanco portrait... twink whould need to fix it

Would it be possible for the Robot to be added to the Species list and also linked to the Species portraits so that you cant build the Default Robot as well, or you take there appearance when you go through synthetic ascension.

I really like this mod, the gameplay and acot integration are fun to play :)

I guess I found some bugs, I want to report
- there is a building called "upgrades"
- gene clinics can be built if built after the health building (might be unfixable if you do not want to overwrite vanilla stuff)
- when researching debris from the scourge a hive tech is comming into the technology selection which can never be researched (might be bug from vanilla? never saw it before)

No the headline which says "Updated for 3.0" clearly means that this mod only works for patch 1.3 obviously. So if you activate this mod. Your PC will explode immediatly because the mod is so out of date.

The idea is that the economic activity is rather low because profit is less of a concern than research and that most people if possible rather go into a scientifically related sector. Its also a bit of a way of balancing. To give make energy a bit problematic and give an incentive to sell technology in order to generate funds a bit like IRL laboratories often get sponsored in one way or another.
