I'm returning to Left 4 Dead 2 since my binge of modding it in 2021. I cannot for the life of me remember how to extract the files from the mod. I remember dumping them in the mechanic folder and rebuilding the sound cache, but I can't remember where the mod's files are and how to put them in the mechanic folder. Can someone help me remember, please?

@Vaskier, actually this is irrelevant issue now. Those deepfake technologies developed so much that I could probably finish completely all of my voice mods. Maybe I'll get to that in the future.

just referring to some comments about not having enough voice lines. Roger Craig Smith Voices in heaps of games all using the same exact voice so you could probably snag lines from them. for example dying light could work as a good substitute, you wont be able to tell if it's Chris or Crane. i don't actually know anything about making voice mods just thought i'd share my thoughts. also great mod!

@CBug519, see, I'm not author of that Leon's voice mod. If I had something to replace those 900+ remaining voice lines of Chris, I would have done it long ago and instead of pushing another addon to workshop, I would have updated this one. As far as I can see, those AI recreating voice bots are getting more and more real lately. Like for example: I've seen some Youtube channel using Kevin Conroy's voice (the original Batman's voice) to help people to break from Porn addiction xD If I get my hands on something like this to recreate Roger Craig Smith's voice and all other voice actors of characters I created voice replacements of, I will finish all of them completely, I really want to do that, but until that happens, I simply can't. I've used all the fitting voice lines, there is nothing else I can replace that will fit in.

Well some lines will replace but other's will not. all the survivors have same generic lines however some have more or less then the others. For example Meleeweapon01 to whatever number. Nick might have a few where Ellis doesn't have. They are each different, for example the spot melee voice line for the tonfa is actually Nick's Chainsaw voice line so might end up having him say "Chainsaw" when he see's a nightstick. You will have to do a lot of tweaking yourself to get things working properly but it's not really as organized as the Ellis one since you'll still have to do a lot of manual things.

@shiori You can use it for Nick however you'll need to do some serious editing, Each survivor has similar voice lines but are sectioned differently. Like Nick might have more quotes in this catagory and Ellis might have more lines in that catagory. It's definitely possible because that's what i did. However i didn't include world voice lines since that would take a long while because each character has different world interactions. If you copy paste it and post it to Nick it won't work, you'll have to manually look and place it in. But i do agree it would be nice to see a Nick version of this since i do use a few Chris Redfield mods on Nick.

Would it be possible if I used these for Nick instead? Or is it designed for only Ellis, meaning it won't work for Nick.

It doesn't get much better than Roger Craig Smith's Chris Redfield! This combines nicely with skUld's Resident Evil 5 Chris Redfield for Francis and splink's Resident Evil 6 Chris Redfield for Ellis.

Could you do an Ellis voice lines mod that uses Leon's voice? I remember Mat Mercer(VA of Jotaro in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders English dub, and McCree from Blizzard's Overwatch) did a lot of voice lines as Leon.
