Normal walls aren't the anymore

TLDR: Save & reload gave collision. Could this be added in the mod description?

I also had the problem that walls wouldn't have collision after upgrading. In my recent play-trough I needed it again so I came back to this to see if it had been resolved. After that I found that saving and reloading fixed it.

Had a slight problem using this, the non snappable walls were all tier 1 when I've got tier 2 walls. How do I fix this?

Certainly can't hurt to rebuild the navmesh. Always a good thing to try when hitting collision or pathing bugs. Ctrl+Shift+F11

I placed them with your mod, not the in-game editor. But perhaps rebuilding the navmesh helps for those walls as well?

I'll try upgrading them and see if the snapping works. Thanks!

Did you place it with the in-game editor, or in the normal build mode? If you use the editor you need to rebuild the navmesh after placing anything, or it won't have collision.

As for the snapping, you need to select and upgrade the item for it to snap. The variant cannot snap, which is why you'd get those messages.

I placed the non snappable wall, but it has no collision regardless of upgrading it to a snappable wall or not, so characters can just walk through them.

Also, if trying to connect a normal wall to the non snappable version, the closest part of the wall says "too close to another building" so it cannot be placed.

How do i solve this?

Brilliant! This should be in vanilla. Thank you.

Not directly, no. The collision meshes of the walls are still there, so they cannot intersect other buildings.

It would make it easier to place them for moving with the in-game editor though, since it's not using the snapping rules.

Does this mod allow for players to build buildings into their walls? Obviously with the proper creativity.

Just finished my latest base perimeter and saw this. It's exactly what I needed/need!

Not in my experience. Their mesh an collision are identical. And once you convert them to the normal version, they literally the normal one itself.

Do characters have any trouble moving between these un-snapped walls? Or between snapping and un-snapping ones?
