I mean they don't conflict. No idea if they compliment each other in any way.

will this work with death and hit reactions

Song: "This is America"
VaeVictrix 11. apr. 2024 kl. 10:00
Ugh, imagine making a decent mod only to ruin its showcase with this vomit inducing "song"... Also, half of those are still bendy knees. I suppose that part is hard to get rid of, which is fair. Nice job, definitely giving this one a try.
Senór Coknshitz 14. okt. 2023 kl. 23:13
Does the music come with the mod?? (Asking for a friend)
"Tide" 23. aug. 2023 kl. 8:55
Should PiR_ rd. pbo. 0-0. bisign also be deleted? Just like PiR_ Like rd.pbo.

@Gamerhell thanks for the report, I'm not too active in A3 these days but there's a chance I'll make a WebKnight friendly version of this mod in the future, his new death animation mod is something I've been wanting in the game for awhile so I'll probably come back at some point.
Gamerhell 24. juni 2023 kl. 22:22
This mod seems to have issues with Webknights Zombies and Creatures. When the zombies bit people their hit-boxes collide with each other and get Arma'd. I don't think there is anything that can be done about this due to the nature of the mod's script and this mod's physics, but if you can think of any creative solution for mod compatibility than that would help. If not, it's still no big deal.
venomDeejays  [ophavsmand] 28. maj 2023 kl. 11:41
@Keefebon oh that's what you mean by sinking, on that note yes I have seen bodies get stuck/disappear into the world before, it is a very uncommon bug that just happens sometimes, like I've never even tried to fix it due to how rare it is.

Sounds like this bug is not rare in your game, maybe try running a mission with only my mod enabled and see if the issue persists? I typically only run the game with about 20-40 mods on at once and I rarely encounter this bug, I'm talking 2-3 times in the past six months, both in online and singleplayer games.
Keefebon 26. maj 2023 kl. 18:55
@venomDeejays So, for most of the missions, I am not running this on a dedicated server. I run this personally off my machine.

I also end a lot of my time in the editor both for training and also curating some Zeus led missions with my guys.

I haven't tried other scenarios as I didn't think about that as an option; further point I'm running close to 100+ mods, so understandably, there's going to be something that will cause a hiccup, but none to my knowledge that I think would affect the physics as badly as, 80 percent of the time, bodies would instantly fall into the world.

Some bodies that stay sink partially, meaning only they're heads or up to their chests remain above ground.

Most times, they disappear completely, leaving whatever firearm that they had.

I don't know if any of that helps... I do apologise for the inconvenience but it's been months and I've had enough of losing bodies.
venomDeejays  [ophavsmand] 26. maj 2023 kl. 17:31
@Keefebon sounds like there's some kind of garbage collection script running in your game, does this happen anywhere in the game or only on certain missions?
Keefebon 26. maj 2023 kl. 13:03
@venomDeejays I've done as you said, removed all the mods and the physics worked as normal again.

I haven't used your mod when I removed from the modlist, and went through the painstaking ordeal of adding all of my mods again 1 by 1 but after re-making the modlist and putting it under a different name, it's done it again. It's started to sink the bodies again, after retrying. I don't suppose you'd know what would make this happen?

This is making me think it isn't to do with your mod, but I can't imagine anything changing the physics like this.
Keefebon 18. maj 2023 kl. 1:15
@venomDeejays That's worth a try. I'm just hoping that when I turn my mods off then on again, it won't persist. I've just had a lot of body sinking issues with the mod, which annoyed me when making HVT sensitive missions.

But thank you. I will give it a try. :)
venomDeejays  [ophavsmand] 17. maj 2023 kl. 17:52
@Keefebon try running the game with no mods at all, it could be another mod causing the issue. Maybe verify files if that doesn't work? I've never had this problem before.
Keefebon 17. maj 2023 kl. 4:07
@venomDeejays I have an issue where the ragdolls doesn't seem to be back to vanilla ragdolling, even after removing the mod from my modlist. Any clue on this issue?
R. Gonzalez 24. apr. 2023 kl. 7:03
@venomDeejays

Just replied to the "Dedicated Issues" thread.

Yes, there is a problem when using any ragdoll on dedicateds
Hudson242 26. mar. 2023 kl. 2:04
Does it matter if I use MP version while playing SP? I only ask because I notice people just seem to export the MP version into their SP HTML files. What's the difference?
venomDeejays  [ophavsmand] 19. mar. 2023 kl. 17:54
@marchie nope, but I'm pretty sure WebKnight has a mod that does exactly that. I think its called IMS Death Anim or something similar.
marchie 18. mar. 2023 kl. 2:48
Does this mod have death animations? like holding onto neck, wheezing, gasping or gurgling? :)
venomDeejays  [ophavsmand] 5. mar. 2023 kl. 13:37
Hey so I've just recently discovered that this mod acts strangely on a dedicated server, I've started a discussion to see if there's any potential to fix this. I'm just trying to verify if I have my server set up incorrectly, or if this is a deeper problem with the mod itself. If you've gotten this mod to work on a DS, please let me know how!
venomDeejays  [ophavsmand] 12. feb. 2023 kl. 11:14
@Redneck2042 hmm, not much I can do to make it compatible from my end (RPP and PiR overwrite the same PhysX file) but try going to the PiR archive and deleting PiR_rd.pbo. You might get an error message on startup about a missing file but it should work just fine.
TSG621 12. feb. 2023 kl. 10:02
make it compatible with project injury reaction please cause the ragdoll PHYS in PIR are terrible
mongchat 27. sep. 2022 kl. 9:52
best ragdoll physics improvement on the workshop
_mickey_ 7. aug. 2022 kl. 14:59
@venomDeejays your latest version is undeniably better than the previous ones, except for one detail. When the ragdoll on a dead body is not yet disabled, the corpse and its limbs react too weakly to incoming bullets. In previous versions of your mod, it was much better. The player felt the force of the bullet, because every bullet hit made the corpse react more noticeably, pushing away his limbs, but now it is almost imperceptible. Please return bullet impact, as it was before.
Ftmch 23. juli 2022 kl. 10:51
Does this have to be enabled on the server/by other players on the server or can I use it clientside just for myself?
󠀡󠀡󠀡󠀡󠀡󠀡Marc🦈 20. juli 2022 kl. 0:10
Awesome. Glad you finalized this amazing mod. :aquaman:
venomDeejays  [ophavsmand] 14. juli 2022 kl. 12:10
@Even only one needs to be loaded.
Evan 14. juli 2022 kl. 2:27
for sp version do you need to enable the mp one then sp or just one or the other? manythanks
venomDeejays  [ophavsmand] 12. juli 2022 kl. 13:48
@RxL3gEnD thanks dude! I really appreciate the kind words. It is indeed pretty neat to see something that I've put so much time into over the years have a positive impact on someone else's game experience.

All in all, I'm also going to say that development of this mod has effectively ceased for good, I've gotten some great opportunites to advance both my real life career and hobbies to the next level, with the drawback of nuking most of my free time. But not to fear! I've declared this mod open source. The source files and documentation can be found here:

https://github.com/venomDeejays/Ragdoll-Physics-Plus/tree/main

Who knows, maybe someone out there with a more in-depth knowledge of code can create an even better ragdoll mod than this one.
RxL3gEnD 12. juli 2022 kl. 5:19
Venom the fact that you still have passion for this game and are still working on stuff for it honestly makes my days that much better bro. I love this game and I love physics. You're the one man, the one we all needed. Keep up the good work
venomDeejays  [ophavsmand] 11. juli 2022 kl. 22:48
New update! I transferred the DEV physics over to this branch, finally. See the changelog for all the new and improved features. I've completely redone the mod again, its should now be more stable than ever before.

Server owners, the old key for this mod is now obsolete, please use the new one located in the mod's folder.

I'm hoping that the new update isn't broken, it works fine on my machine, but steam doesn't like when I update this mod for some reason. You'll be able to tell if it works or if its busted, so please let me know ASAP if its not working and I'll try and fix it.
_mickey_ 22. juni 2022 kl. 4:21
"The mod does not work. "Flying" legs and arms everywhere." - Nonsense! For me perfectly working mod. @venomDeejays I hope you improve your mod with the latest feature updates from BIS. Posted May 18 on the Development Branch Changelog - "Tweaked: awake script command is extended to add the ability to nudge dead characters in a temporary ragdoll state - FT-T73168"
kiba3x 20. juni 2022 kl. 23:42
@venomDeejays But does the DEV build work in MP?
venomDeejays  [ophavsmand] 20. juni 2022 kl. 18:53
@kibaBG yeah this version of the mod is super outdated, try the DEV build linked in the description and see if your problem still persists.
kiba3x 20. juni 2022 kl. 13:13
The mod does not work. "Flying" legs and arms everywhere.
Mıkı 25. maj 2022 kl. 13:10
A must have mod, they should include this in the basic game. The ragdolls in Arma are horrendous, this makes them a LOT more believable and sets a more serious tone, one that a mil sim game should have, instead of the silly vanilla ragdolls.
TopaDaLyne 24. apr. 2022 kl. 22:56
Hello how can I tell on what server the mod is being used?
bubylda 10. mar. 2022 kl. 7:46
Is it possible to fix flying ragdoll when unit gets hit by a tank?
CalicoJack 17. feb. 2022 kl. 22:26
thanks!

btw, what tool are you using to edit the ragdolls?
venomDeejays  [ophavsmand] 17. feb. 2022 kl. 22:11
@CalicoJack I'd recommend you try the DEV version of the mod, it fixes most odd behavior that this mod may have and generally improves the ragdoll physics model. I'll be releasing this new build to the stable version at some point, its not quite ready as of now though. My modding time is pretty limited nowadays, unfortunately, but rest assured it will be released in the near future.
CalicoJack 16. feb. 2022 kl. 2:02
do they still fly into the air when killed while prone?
Jinkis 2. feb. 2022 kl. 9:55
Has anyone managed to get this to work on a dedicated server? For me I just couldn't get it to work either server-side or clientside.
venomDeejays  [ophavsmand] 4. jan. 2022 kl. 19:52
@lihoaaa I tried really hard to make this possible, but unfortunately PhysX doesn't allow for such features. There's actually parameters that exists to apply force to limbs, which does indeed move them, but there's no way to make it random (ala GTAV, RDR2) so it untimately looks pretty silly.
YourAverageDude 3. jan. 2022 kl. 17:44
flailing* I think
YourAverageDude 3. jan. 2022 kl. 17:43
Could there be failing when falling and holding wounds when shot?
Wibble 12. dec. 2021 kl. 5:52
I've tried a lot of ragdoll mods over the years and this one is the best one by a mile.
venomDeejays  [ophavsmand] 30. nov. 2021 kl. 16:10
@Cookie its pretty minimal. If you kill a lot of guys at once (like playing ravage or using Ryan's zombie mod) it might drop down maybe like 5-10 fps, only temporarily until the ragdoll "freezes".

Also holy balls, almost 24k subscribers?! I never thought that this mod would get this far, honestly. Its awesome to see a small personal project of mine grow into a mod that a lot of the community uses and enjoys today, so thank you to everyone for the subs and support!

In other news, I'm feeling pretty confident with the newest build of this mod, so expect an update pretty shortly. Check out the link to the DEV/SP branch in the description for the changelog, and an opportunity to try out the new physics model for yourself.
Jackal 24. nov. 2021 kl. 18:54
the bodies dont react very much when hit by bigger rounds. They kinda just slump over and fall.
Baciuu 15. nov. 2021 kl. 6:40
How does this mod affect fps on the server and players in it?
JK 6. nov. 2021 kl. 21:36
