I - If you got this with GMOD open or a map loaded, you might need to restart the game;
II - Check if you have other addons
III - This is not a hex, this will use the same folder (tf->materials->models->player->items->fez.mdl)

It should, I selected the files from the edited alpha mask fez. See if you have the addon enabled!

The Fez can't be painted neither with this addon.
