Hello Witchy, I have found that many of the foreign policy policies I enact from this mod are either auto-repealed or reduced randomly, is that a bug or a feature?

Could someone make a mod that when you have a surplus and pay of country debt, you can start investing in a variety of different things that gives you certain benefits. For example you could invest in other countries and they pay you interest over time or buy mercs so you don't need to spend money on your own military or anything you can think of. I feel their is little benefit for getting your country out of debt and I would like to see benefits for doing so! :steamhappy:

What is the name in files, for "Immigration Protests?" I would like to make a policy that directly impacts it, please!

oooooo

Hey all, with the recent changes to immigration in the newest patch I'll soon be taking a look at what changes need to be made! Also stay tuned for some new content coming soon. Thank you for your patience thus far

@feelinWitchy , does your stability not already have a huge overlap with GDP though? It is hard to have a high (relative) GDP without being (relatively) stable. I do get it though, immigrants and refugees in specific would want to move to stable countries over non-stable countries.
feelinWitchy  [ophavsmand] 8. dec. 2020 kl. 19:00
@Eldanos right now it's a bit of an over simplification. I eventually want to add a "Global Stability" value that will increase or decrease immigration in regards to your relative stability compared to the rest of the world's.
Gonzotherobot 6. dec. 2020 kl. 18:27
thanks

I really like this mod. Just wondering why global influence leads to more immigration? Seems kind of like a non-sequitur to me.

@Gonzotherobot

It should be coming out at some point in mid-December. Life has been full of a bunch of crazy stuff, so it's been tough to find time to make anything! The lack of slider support is limiting me a bit also, as it's pretty essential for the war stuff I want to add.

whens next update
Mieszko 21. nov. 2020 kl. 12:00
@feelinWitchy

Thanks for the update man! Really cleans up the start screen :)

Alright, a fix has been uploaded for the mod. I wasn't able to overwrite the original countries in any way, so I made some new icons for the additional scenarios I added. I also pushed them to the end of the country list to keep them out of the way. You can check it out in the screenshots above! I'm definitely going to keep them around though, as I want a version of each country that starts with the things they start with in the real world (Nuclear weapons, UN & NATO Membership, etc). Plus there are some overrides that I really wanted to get a true to life 2021 version of the US that I don't want to put into the vanilla game.
I did rebalance a lot of aspects of the mod in the latest update too, so that you can play a more vanilla experience with the new content by picking one of the original countries :)
Mieszko 19. nov. 2020 kl. 19:31
Love your mods man. But the "updated" USA and UK scenarios make the intro screen a mess. They also detract from the "enhanced" vanilla experience you are so great at implementing. Removing the scenarios entirely and just implementing gameplay changes that you have done thusfar with your other mods is a much better route.

Thanks for all your hard work!

This is a very good mod introducing new and very important aspect of the game. Keep up the good work and I really appreciate what you added to this community.
Trollies 16. nov. 2020 kl. 17:43
@feelinWitchy maybe add a dilemma?
feelinWitchy  [ophavsmand] 16. nov. 2020 kl. 0:27
Thanks a bunch! I was pretty disappointed with the foreign policy part of D4 and how little meaningful decision-making existed there, so hearing that the mod is starting to rectify that is great! And yeah, it's very much WIP right now. Next I'm hoping to update this with a bunch of dilemmas and events relating to the UN/NATO as well as other policies that will provide a more nationalist approach, but then the more conflict/war oriented update after that.

Not really sure how I'm going to make war work in this game yet... but looking forward to figuring something out lol
TheOtherWhiteNerd 15. nov. 2020 kl. 20:39
Okay, so it's a WIP feature, then! Very excited!

Also, I must say. Now that I've played the mod, I'm thoroughly impressed! Before it just felt too easy to reduce Military to nothing; now it's an actual decision to make. That alone, along with the other values, completely changes the way I play the game. Props!
feelinWitchy  [ophavsmand] 15. nov. 2020 kl. 19:22
@Comrade_Peavey huh, weird. I haven't had any of that appear on the test runs that I've done! If anyone else is having similar issues let me know and I can try to look into them!
feelinWitchy  [ophavsmand] 15. nov. 2020 kl. 19:20
@TheOtherWhiteNerd don't want to spoil it, but it has something to do with some upcoming additions in the way of conflicts with other countries :)
TheOtherWhiteNerd 14. nov. 2020 kl. 21:12
This mod looks amazing; I'll have to give it a go!

Curious question: I've noticed in some of the screenshots, it says UNKNOWN. What would that be?
SerapisJay 14. nov. 2020 kl. 19:35
Funky little mod, but just keep in mind that it does occasionally cause crashes during transitions, save loading, and sometimes causes the intelligence service screen to turn into a 4-quadrant red/blue background
feelinWitchy  [ophavsmand] 13. nov. 2020 kl. 11:40
@Thimeo thanks for the kind words!
feelinWitchy  [ophavsmand] 13. nov. 2020 kl. 11:40
@michaelonthenorthbank it should work, but things likely won't be balanced. The UK won't be in NATO by default and some more us specific overrides may appear a bit wonky
Thimeo 13. nov. 2020 kl. 6:17
Looking forward to see more of your work man, you've got some good ideas and the knowledge to back it up apparently. Really hope this is the beginning of something great.
michaelonthenorthbank 13. nov. 2020 kl. 0:15
new to this game and this mite sound a strange question would your mod be ok to use in the uk
yes l think they should wars etc
Franco 12. nov. 2020 kl. 17:17
imagine a crisis like a war
feelinWitchy  [ophavsmand] 12. nov. 2020 kl. 9:50
@Aturchomicz here's the guide to modding the game https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2242250360
If you've got some ideas go for it! Would love to see something more unrealistic
AturUwU 12. nov. 2020 kl. 9:42
And so another Realistic Edgy Mod gets released onto the Workshop, maybe I should learn modding this myself to offer a counter side lol
