Justinian effectively reduced Italy to an apocalyptic Wasteland. His regime did not develop or preserve it deliberately because the people who lived in Italy were considered a threat to his Roman legitimacy. The senate, aqueducts & buildings were all stripped & the Gothic wars itself helped to depopulate the land ontop of the plagues. I wasn't saying he was threatened by any barbarians but that he basically destroyed civilisations who preserved the Roman culture there better than his regime did. They still had aqueducts, bathhouses & the senate operating under them aswell as legitimised their rule to Rome.-
Justinian helped to pillage Europe into the Dark Age more then any desperate, pillaging Germanic kingdom did. The E Romans looked down on the outdated, rustic W Rome that they had left behind for a more Christian Nova Roma (Constantinople).
Curse Justinian who probably felt threatened by Italia's claim to a truer Roman identity.
COULD YOU CHANGE THE BUILDINGS OF THE CITY OF LONDINIUM IN TOTAL WAR THRONES OF BRITANNIA, FOR ROMAN BUILDINGS?.
EXCELLENT JOB, THANKS AND GREETINGS

From MK1212 FAQ
12) Why are there no medieval buildings yet?
Our efforts so far have been focused on designing the campaign and fleshing out unit rosters. Once these tasks are done, the focus will shift to battle maps and campaign map settlement models.
13) Can the campaign map be modified to add new regions? And why are some regions not in the right place?
As there are no official campaign map modding tools aside from Terry (which mostly does cosmetic changes), campaign map editing is next to impossible until methods of doing so are discovered.
We are aware of the upcoming Rise of Mordor's campaign editing tool; but we can assess and formulate a plan based on its capabilities only when it has been released/we are able to get our hands on it.
I apologize if the translation is incorrect.
Overall changes for Western buildings.
-More saturated stone tiles
-Replace one of the wooden parts with stone textures
-Increase roof's brightness and adjusted to more natural terracotta orange tone
-Retextured western towers
it could be possible but you'd need all the model files from ToB to make it functional
I studied Late Antiquity in grad school. Every time I am picking my way through the Cambridge Ancient or Medieval encyclopedias, or a 600 page book by Brown, Cameron or Mills, I wish I could unwind by playing a deeply detailed TW Attila mod. lol My supervisor would probably write you an angry letter if he knew this is why I was so distracted. Job very well done.
As a historian, and fan of the series it sometimes feels CA has left behind for the Chinese market and Warhammer IP, thank you. I can tell this was a labour of love and I want you to know how appreciated it is.
By the way, Wickham's Book [www.amazon.ca] does a great job detailing both Roman and Barbarian urban architecture and layouts, if you have a passion for the subject.

Thx u for creating a mod like this, SORELY needed.
This re-texturing was sorely needed, the game is very burdened with too much brown/tan colouration.
