i dont mod for gmod but im sure most of the phong shader para. are supported. you need to doublecheck on the Valve developer wiki.

@Teθys I don't remember what i changed...I think i added a specular map in the normal map as the Alpha layer, which did not exist. what i know for sure is that as long as you implement specular, normal maps properly the phong will 100% show up with $phong 1. The only way to mess it up is to have conflicting shader parameters in ur vmt.

ok... If the shader setting is on High / Very high then the mod works perfectly, but on Medium and Low the colours are a bit messed up. Im trying to fix it now :/

Edit: fixed it myself, if you have your shaders lower than very high the textures become broken
