Is it normal for newly hatched Skrix to have 0 skills, despite their traits saying they should have some? I don't own Biotech btw.

Updated to 1.6 unstable.

For now you need to use the Dev version of HAR on the workshop.

I only did some cursory testing so if you find something broken please let me know.

Updated Skrix to the unstable 1.5 branch. This requires the dev version of HAR to function.

Let me know if you find anything that isn't quite working properly

Known Issues:
- The blood smears when crawling are red instead of bug green.

I made some changes to take advantage of a recent HAR update:
- Pawn and Body addon colors can now be customized at the Styling Station.
- Growth factors have been adjusted to hopefully make it easier to get higher quality growth moments
- Various Age Stat parts have been adjusted (no more having gimped workspeed on an adult Skrix just because they are below age 18)

Check it out and let me know if you encounter any issues.

Skrix have been updated to support Children. Skrix skip the newborn phase and jump straight to being a Child.

Each caste matures at a different rate with Workers maturing the fastest and Royals maturing the slowest.

Some inappropriate genes (i.e. furskin) have been blacklisted so Skrix will not be able to have those genes.

QoL Changes:
- Skrix Royalty can Lay eggs on their own now. No assistance required.
- All Skrix races can now 'Milk' and 'Shear' themselves. No assistance required.

New Feature:
- Skrix enemies can now use their Bile Ability in combat if they have it.

Current experiment: Getting the AI to use the Throw Bile ability, so enemy raids will use it.

Pretty neat seeing them all chuck bile everywhere.

The regular HAR mod has been updated, so this mod should now work for base 1.4.

If using Biotech, expect problems and oddities until the HAR framework has a chance to add handling for the various Biotech Features and I can incorporate them into these races.

I pushed an update out for 1.4. Consider it to be unstable. You must use the Dev HAR mod instead of the regular HAR mod for it (also on the workshop).

For anyone that might be trying to make sense of the 4 different skrix types for TTK: Royal skrix have 7 honor value, noble has 5, soldier 4, worker 3.

[Skrix - An Insect-like Race] causes compatibility errors by overwriting Crashlanded in file C:\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\2267078474\v1.3\Defs\Scenarios\Scenarios_Skrix.xml

You probably want to change the Name attribute to be something specific to the mod to avoid the overwrite.

I bought a bile sac from a merchant however installation of it was impossible as there is no prompt to install it in the medical operation, I tried using dev mod and it was quite fickle so I then just spawned some of the bug race in and recruited them to test launch bile however they animation would happen but they never actually spit, the screen would shake and shake and never stop shaking even when I stopped trying to use the attack now I think I am gonna launch bile.

@Dragonfly If you're going hardcore, you could make everything out of bone. Otherwise, I would just say to use cobblestone walls from one of the VFEs.

Are royals supposed to lay eggs upon reaching 100%? My royal has been sitting at 100% egg progress for a couple days now.

Well it was a painful fix, but eating Skrix should now give proper thoughts with Ideology Precepts.

I also cleaned things up and made it so the 4 skrix variants all use the same Meat.

As a consequence, any Skrix meat in existing saves will be lost.

Just wanted to let you know about an oversight with Ideology, Cannibal Tunnelers still get the negative "ate insect meat" rather than the tunneler-specific positive "ate insect meat" thought when eating skrix meat.

There are still changes/updates going into the HAR framework (and the vanilla game for that matter). Issues with Hair/Tattoos/Beards and Ideology have not been fully addressed yet.
