Idk what people are talking about with the bombs and potions. Starting 2nd wand is totally unaffected for me, as are every potion. Mod works as intended, 10/10. It was a huge waste of time for me before because I just emptied out any potion that wasn't water above ground anyways, then topped up underground. This saves an unnecessary minute, which adds up when you die a lot

Seems to be game issue and not my mod particular, try enabling/disabling mods and starting a new game. Also try starting a new game with the "Random starting loadouts" and then disable it in game and start a new game again.

Noticed that too, you always start with bombs and water every single run. Wish I could find a one for just water.

Idk how this mod works, but Since enabling it, I seem to almost always have bombs in my 2nd wand. Does the mod do seed manipulation?

@bounk not possible, you have a mod conflict
@d_bug anywhere really but other mods can override this one because i only change a very specific file without touching the potion system

This mod makes it so that you can not swap spells in your inventory anywhere.

I tested this again and it still works and does not replace all potions with lava so it must be another mod

Can you possibly add a chance for a second, random potion to spawn? As in, if it spawns, it's random, but the spawn chance is low.

People say they patched it but my suspicion is they just got lucky with a water potion once or twice lol, I kinda hope randomized isn't a new thing it makes more sense in a secondary game mode to me

and dont forget, if you find concentrated mana, that water can be turned into it! concentrated mana can then be used as a sort of acid to melt through steel

Starting with a Water flask is so much more important than just being an easy way to put out fire or clean toxic, it's a mechanically diverse weapon that can carry you through bad rng in the hands of a skilled player and change the way you progress through noita. Water kills fire based monsters, can block certain projectiles, can diffuse acid, and push other liquids out of the way. It is over all a universal flask to have that really showcases the unique charm this game has. By removing the water flask and turning it into a rng dice roll, the developers directly removed many viable progression options and exchanged it for utter nonsense like oil or toxic which have no realistically functional usage in the beginning of the game other than getting you hurt or even killed.

I don't mind the randomized wands to be honest. What I hate the most is the randomized flask - Water is already one of the strongest things you can have a flask of, especially at the start with no perks or powerful spells.

My starting potions are so random. I have like 3 mods that change them. Its always something new for me LOL. This is a great mod for players who don't use select-able classes mod.

Thanks so much, this is essentially a needed mod. Randomizing wands was fine enough but I was burning to death at the beginning of half my runs.

@Ganarus @Jimmerz For a game that is so heavily based on RNG already, it really didn't need more RNG added to it. Yes you can empty it, but why? Why make the game tedious to play? Why make me waste my time emptying and filling flasks just like back in the early days of early access? It used to function like this when it first came out on Early Access and then they slowly bit by bit added the permanent water flask which made life a lot more easier and was a great solution that most players asked for. There was and is a mod that made the starting flask random, so there was absolutely no need to make it a vanilla start. There is no reason to make the game even more difficult and painful for new players.

I don't think it was a stupid decision to change the starting potion to random. It allows runs to play out differently. You can always just empty and fill it with water if one wants.

That being said I am glad someone made a mod for it for people who want it. I did not download it but if it is not already maybe consider making it a game mode so people can just choose it as a mode.

@Selvis i mean, i like it. Back in the day the starting flask was pretty useless and i always emptied it to have a empty flask for some concoctions, and when the 1.0 came out i no longer had to go with an empty (Or mostly empty) flask and could get so much needed by me gunpowder and fire. And also i get chaotic polymorphine pretty often. But it is fully my opinion. And i should admit that sometimes water is needed but i still like the RNG flasks more.

Thank you. Making the starting flask random for 1.0 was one of the weirdest and most stupid decisions and I'll never understand why they thought it would be a good idea.
