Yeah I dunno, i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the mod and about half of the time when taking damage it made the bonk sound

Wait, it's not even from Blastocyst, it's from dibs and maybe some other monsters. The file names got me confused, didn't even check them. And to be fair, they were in the "player" directory, I have no excuse for my inadequacy, lmao.

Damn, you're right, the ones I told you to replace are sounds for Blostocyst boss (little jumping worms specifically), my bad.:steamfacepalm:

Fixed it, turns out the baby hurt files had nothing to do with it. It was because hurt grunt .wav was missing a space at the end of it :/

i replaced all the baby hurt files and there is still one file causing a vanilla sound so i'll look for that before i update

Oh, right, about what HenryGlitch said. You might also want to create few more file copies named "baby hurt 1", "baby hurt 2" and "baby hurt 3" to replace all of the sounds, or you may still hear vanilla sounds sometimes.

for me I have the problem where only half of the time it does the bonk damage sounds and other half it does the normal damage sound. Tried re-installing but didn't work

I have just tested it, your sounds.xml screws up many sound mods. I strongly advise following the bluey's instructions.

hey mod dude, for fixing the compatibility with rep sfx mods, removing sounds.xml and copy pasting "Bonk.wav" into 3 files ("hurt grunt.wav", "hurt grunt 1.wav", "hurt grunt 2.wav") works

uno ascent mod now plays correctly after fix

Might be worth noting that several other sound mods have stopped working as well, and all of them were working the former day. Full reinstalls don't fix those ones either.

I think this might just be a problem with my game. This should still work with AB+. I don't believe it's a problem with the mod.
