@nukeguard, unfortunately I think it got worse. Part of the issue may be caused by when a player takes control of the gun. When I control it manually, then turn it off, it does not return to the home position before retracting the gun. The gun retracts first, then does not return home. Then I have another thing to point out. When placed, I can turn the gun on and it will extend no issue. I turn it off, no issue. The gun will retract and the mesh lines up however, and this is where it gets weird, the gun will continue to lower right out of the block and continue to do the lowering animation further and further down through the block until it's turned back on.

I'm in the same boat as Helldiver #1. The gun does not return to home position (straight forward) when retracted, leaving the closure panels open at an angle. Due to me being extremely OCD, I just can't use them.

Works just fine, dunno what they're talkin about.

However I have one complaint. Whenever I use them (as in, enable and fire) and then retract them, they aren't reset to their original position, which makes them look REALLY weird.

Besides that, works just fine.

Unfortunately it doesn't work any more. I can't control the turret nor can I or the AI system shot this gun.:steamsad:

I am using it well. I restarted the game after a recent automaton upgrade. After powering off the block in the game, you cannot pass through the top of the block. It has a transparent collision box, so when you stand on top of a block, it appears to float in mid-air. This symptom appears to have occurred after an Automaton upgrade. Or what have I done wrong?

@Hotaro any mind sharing what mod it was for others? as It don't seems to shoot for me either...

Maybe it can't target strait up but well... Gonna test it later to see if there is something other that is strange (well... A missile turret targeted me through it's own grid making me need to do nothing to disable it but it's probably another problem that don't have anything to do here :p)

Cancel that. It was an error with another mod that caused this. They work fine once I removed the broken mod.

dga8705 you may need to turn on the override for firing. A lot of weapons have trouble with that these days.

Are any more weapons like this coming? I use it alot but what I really need is a fixed retractable gun with higher fire rate for a fighter, and some kind of missile launcher. Every one I can find is 2 blocks wide which makes it awkward for small fighters.

I have plenty of power on that ship. I was just testing it by controlling the turret and it wasn't showing me firing, but maybe I need to get it near an enemy. I'll mess with it more at some point.

this one has slight shield penetration, in the description is one that does not penetrate shields

Ok further investigation: the Plasma Cannon small grid isn't doing any damage, while the large grid one still works. No matter Creative or Survival, it's a matter of size (as always :P).

For those saying that it's not targeting anything: check your mod list or try to go away from the target over 50-100 meters, this one worked for me (no matter if you go near again, auto target still works)

I can confirm it's not doing any damage in Survival mode, while in Creative still works.
It's a shame because it was the best energy weapon I found. Balanced damage and rate of fire, it retract if turned off and it has a long range.
If you can fix it that would be great.

@Maverick You might be encountering a similiar bug I had.

First thing you should do is check your load order and make sure Weaponcore is loaded before any mod that uses it as a dependency. I usually stick it at the top so it loads up first.

If that doesn't fix your problem, the other issue is it could be a glitch with your world. If that's the case, create a new world and copy paste your stuff over to it after you've tested some turrets and confirm they work.

I haven't tested automatically against projectiles but it will not fire even when attempted manually with the "shoot" button in the control panel.
