@Jenson Yeah if I use this I never use the dirt storage besides sometimes hiding gold and silver like a vault, I like the premise but its kinda busted.

Another way of balancing it might be to have it require maintenance otherwise it collapses and you lose everything in it. You could have it slowly take damage overtime so it need repairing to keep up, could even make it require "refueling" to simulate needing new supports built in

anyone else think the dirt storage pit is a bit busted? 20 wood and you keep a lot of things in a low temperature and get 20 stacks worth in 1 tile, i feel like it should take up at least 4 tiles, maybe 8? and cost way more work cause you're digging a deep hole in the ground and then building a ladder, maybe a thousand work? could be even more and it'd still be balanced tbf

I did some dev mode testing today. With just base game, all DLCs, Harmony, Deep Storage, and this mod enabled: the tent, all of the baskets, and all of the pots do not work - the storage tab is empty and you cannot store things in them. All the other pieces appear to be working as intended. I hope that helps, if you get a chance to look at the mod!

The wood pile is unable to store Redwood from Natures Pretty Sweet (Continued) that can be aquired from Redwood trees. There is a separate "Red Wood" that it can store, but that is from Ocular Trees from Alpha Memes. Is this something that can be fixed on your end, or does it need to be fixed on NPS (Cont.) end?

Im not getting any errors but when i try to use the storage tent the storage settings are empty. I cant store anything in it. Every other items storage options works fine. Only the tent is like this.

At this point, switching to adaptive storage would be more beneficial. It's better on performance and pretty much the new standard for storage in 1.5 in terms of popularity.

I do not, no. I'm playing from a start that has no zero research unlocked and I researched Primitive Storage before Complex Furniture. If that's all I need then that's ok, but it would have been great if there was some tooltip or something that stated I need Complex Furniture for the Granary. Thank you for letting me know.

I researched Primitive Storage and it doesn't give me the option to build a Granary at all. I can build the other things, like the storage tent, but the only way for me to have the Granary as an option is to use dev mode. I could always use Dev mod to instantly build one, go build copy, and place an unbuilt blueprint down, but I'd rather do it the proper way if possible. Any idea why I don't have the Granary as an option despite it being included in it's respective research?

Can confirm - the storage pit does not work properly with Thermodynamics mod. It says internal temperature is 3 degrees but the actual expiry of food doesn't change. Thanks for the mod BTW!

Just wanting to refresh my request that pits don't require diggable terrain. If you can mine into a mountain with your bare hands, then you should be able to dig out stone underneath yourself for a pit too...

Can you please make the Wooden and Stone storage pits able to be built on stone floor? It makes sense if you're to that level you'd be able to mine stone.

So, it is working on my end. I just tested. Let me explain how it works and maybe see if it helps.

Since these pits are just primitive technology they are not going to function as well as say a "RimFridge" that uses electricity. They are still susceptible to the ambient temperature around them. So...they will keep things in the "refrigerated" zone as long as the temperature outside is normal. However, if a heatwave comes, or perhaps, if you live in the desert and temps get too high, the temperature in the pits might begin to rise as well.

Do you think this might be happening in your scenario? If not, maybe you could try to get an error log for me and I can look to see if a conflict with another mod is happening.

The internal temperature of items inside the storage are still the same as the external temperature instead of the listed internal temperature

Though honestly I'm running with 100+ mods, so that is probably what is causing the odd bug lol, feel free to ignore this
