There is a diving suit. It allows you to sink and walk around on surface.
Since your already flying you can also just use the spectator to build
jogene1964 13 dec 2024 om 10:16
please remove buoyancy from character when in fly mode for under water crafting if you can
Johnbeere 23 jul 2024 om 21:58
In what way is it not working? Are you on Community Edition?
pedro_zoox 23 jul 2024 om 21:13
No matter what i do i can't get the water working. i've tried all water core commands, even some space engineers commands, no results. Need help
peaceman  [auteur] 11 mrt 2024 om 2:51
No. If you don't want the tide to change you can set the speed to 0

можно ли какой-нибудь командой закрепить минимальный и максимальный уровень воды за текущем?

is it possible to fix the minimum and maximum water levels for the current one with some command?
amhw1964 15 okt 2023 om 18:13
In case it happens to anyone else, some change to at least one possibly other mods is making it so even if your map doesn't have Water Core, it makes water anyway. After fiddling aropund I gave up trying to figure out which non-water-related mod was causing it and just added Water Core to the map, went into creative and activated admin tools, then followed the author's directions for making the water smaller than the planet:
"If you use /help tide
it has a good explanation on what the commands do.
To lower the water level, just type /tide min -1000
Then type /tide water -1000
Then /tide max -1000"

Flooding problem solved without spending a couple days removing mods one by one.

It has now been fixed!
Johnbeere 27 aug 2023 om 10:43
@KickingJoub Try now, some mods were just broken by a mistaken update that should be fixed
KickingJoub 27 aug 2023 om 8:30
Update: friend with clean install tried the Water in Medieval Engineers world, and also has no water, and no /help tide functionality
KickingJoub 27 aug 2023 om 8:26
Water has vanished in my saved worlds and not showing up in new worlds with no other mods.
I didn't change any settings, and I don't think anything updated today.
/help tide returns nothing either, it's as if the mod has simply stopped functioning altogether

Are you playing on a bigger than default planet? Its possible you increased the water level but forgot to also increase the minimum water level. Then the water slowly goes down over time.
Johnbeere 20 aug 2023 om 10:57
In what way did it disappear - an entire ocean drained? Or a shallow area drained? Is this on a map actually designed for water? The issue could be the tide - this mod will slowly raise and lower the water level over time to simulate tide.
Anthoine 20 aug 2023 om 5:32
It happened on my game that after several hours of play, the water disappeared, there is only sand left where the water was. I can still hear the water but can't get it to reappear. Is there a solution to this bug? Thanks

Why do I have any ship, even with the observance of weight, heels to the left ???
Tumble Trash᠌ ⁧⁧ Official 21 feb 2023 om 18:10
I can't figure out how to use oarsmen, I have food on the ship, when I give order, they move their oars out, wait a couple seconds, then move them in, using normal oarsmen
Rexxia 8 feb 2023 om 14:36
I found the mod that was causing it, all good now
Rexxia 8 feb 2023 om 13:51
All I have is Water Core and Water in Medieval Engineers
peaceman  [auteur] 8 feb 2023 om 13:41
You are probably using some mod like the clear water mod. Those mods have copied the PAX_Watersurface script. If the same script is loaded twice it causes a crash.
Rexxia 8 feb 2023 om 13:30
is PAX_Watersurface this mod? It crashes my game every time I load a world
King Nothing 5 jul 2022 om 11:44
could You please help me and direct me in how to install this mod correctly?
King Nothing 4 jul 2022 om 17:51
I can't connect to the server with any water mods installed
peaceman  [auteur] 30 jun 2022 om 13:55
If you use /help tide
it has a good explanation on what the commands do.
To lower the water level, just type /tide min -1000
Then type /tide water -1000
Then /tide max -1000

Now your water level will be set 1km lower, well below the planet surface
elilouve 29 jun 2022 om 13:13
how do you use the controls? I don't know if I've misunderstood but the water level refuses to change and stays stuck at 5025. If I change the minimum and maximum it puts me in another number. I would like to have a detailed explanation of how the mod works?
Johnbeere 19 jun 2022 om 15:40
Type "/help tide" in chat and a list of commands will pop up. Set the min and max water level lower until it is below the surface.
Edu 19 jun 2022 om 14:41
i installed the modern weapons mod and now everything is submerged, ho can i fix it?
peaceman  [auteur] 19 apr 2022 om 12:36
Enable medieval master and type /help tide
You will see all the commands
Something 17 apr 2022 om 12:31
How do i lower the water level so that my map isn't flooded?
DonCDXX 15 apr 2022 om 23:48
I ran some tests to figure out, also you'll have an answer if anyone else asks.
In 8bit color:

52 is always submerged
53 is exposed during low tide and shoulder deep in high tide
54 is always above water

Hopefully that helps any aspiring planet makers.
peaceman  [auteur] 13 apr 2022 om 12:35
Look at existing water worlds to know how to make it. Like this one: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2245817571
Just copy the existing height and biome maps and edit them.
The default water level is around 78-79% grayscale
DonCDXX 11 apr 2022 om 18:11
Attempting to make a planet that requires this mod. To make the biome map, I started by copying the heightmap and converting it to 8 bit. The problem was in planning my beaches.

At what height is the water? I guess with high tides and low tides, I should ask the range of heights.
peaceman  [auteur] 28 okt 2021 om 14:55
yes
Pegas519 28 okt 2021 om 14:44
the weapons won't swing in the water. would that suit allows it?
peaceman  [auteur] 28 okt 2021 om 1:38
There should not be any, unless your playing on a world not designed for water. In that case you can use the diving suit. To have this you need the conveyor and pipes mod
Pegas519 27 okt 2021 om 20:34
ok, im a noob, how do i gather ore under water?
peaceman  [auteur] 15 feb 2021 om 10:58
try redownloading the mod. Since nobody else has this must be local
Nocab 12 feb 2021 om 18:02
My brother is constantly crashing shortly after joining my session. After reading logs he read that some kind of desync occured and a message saying D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\333950\2247222283\Data\HollowBoxes.sbc:121:4 caused an issue. We are sure this must be the reason he crashes out from the game because the crashing stopped after I removed those blocks that I had built. Is the problem in the mod itself or local issue?
peaceman  [auteur] 26 okt 2020 om 12:20
I don't understand. This mod is the mod without any planet stuff. There is nothing left to seperate
XCanG 25 okt 2020 om 17:30
Hm, does it possible to provide separate mod for this stuff, so that authors of custom planets will be able to include only it in their planets and this Water Core will be used separately.
Because the problem of this custom planets is that they not update their mod to new version, so if there only stuff like beaches, which not require update + water core, we will have better modded version of planets (and it take less space on HDD).
peaceman  [auteur] 25 okt 2020 om 16:11
yes, but ofc it won't look as good because you won't have any beaches and such
XCanG 25 okt 2020 om 15:38
So, it is possible now to not use other "planets with water mod", but use any planet and this as dependency?
