if someone knows how to make the web laying and cocooning things into xenotypes, I'd commission a mod for that. lol. I want arachnes that can cocoon victims.

When dozens and dozens of little spiders infest your map in the early first year from the man hunter pack event, gives me goose bumps and reconsider my plan on defending my colony and not have fire yet

I can confirm the bug @Morale -10 reported only happens when Choose Wild Animal Spawns is also active. I haven't noticed any actual in-game issues that are probably from this error (though I don't remember seeing any spiders). I haven't made any changes with CWAS, and I'm pretty sure the Arachnophobia settings are the defaults from back in 1.3.

Choose Wild Animal Spawns give this mod red warnings no matter what order I out these two in and they also seem to pop up a little randomly too sometimes...

I got a bug on this one:
My colonies egg sacks kept disappearing, but my spider roster grew until I bought a whole batch of egg sacks from a trader and watched it hatch.
Here is the issue: Both spiders and giant spiders skip the spiderling life stage and spawn fully grown with a random age in years assigned to them.
The rest of the mod seems to work fine.

it's been a while since I've played with this mod so can someone remind me if spiders spawn on map creation and if so is it in caves? or is it an event/chance that they wander on to the map were your colony is?

i can not make them feed them selves for the life of me, i have a farm of 30 animals they could eat and 1000s of meat but they ignore both.

Hey, I've noticed that, with CE, the spider silk has sort of very high stats;
I thought it was working as intended, but then after an experience with another mod, I've realized that the spider silk item had not bee CE-ified.
I threw together a quick patch to change the stats of silk foe CE:

Pawns seem to get cocooned but the cocoon doesn't even show up. They get a hediff, but no graphics

What about animal genetics continued compat? Currently the spiders from the egg sack have random genetics due to the egg sack apparently not counting as a normal egg
