In case anyone has the same problem: Found that removing this mod fixes a visual bug with Research Tree (Continued). (Disappearing research/menu closing it's self once a research is selected)
Argón  [ophavsmand] 21. feb. kl. 20:42
They're two independent mods. They can work together but know they're mostly not meant to be used together.
Gardevoir&MGEbrother8008 21. feb. kl. 19:10
Is this compatible with your other "Salted meats mod"?
Tinda 6. feb. kl. 5:46
I second a medieval overhaul version
Louraline 24. jan. kl. 4:18
Really like this mod but making the salted meat takes so long
Vartarhoz 14. sep. 2024 kl. 17:46
Can there be version for Medieval Overhaul, it has their own salt.
Argón  [ophavsmand] 6. aug. 2024 kl. 17:47
Yes. That's the way the old mod worked. I used the code for VE ciders.
Tebreski 6. aug. 2024 kl. 17:28
Letting them mature as in just throw them on an outdoor shelf and not in a freezer or even indoor room?
Argón  [ophavsmand] 5. aug. 2024 kl. 19:21
You have to let them mature. I don't remember the exact amount of days required.
Tebreski 4. aug. 2024 kl. 19:29
How do you turn raw sausage into proper sausage if you don't mind me asking? I try to leave a bunch of raw sausage in a storage outside for a while but it just remain raw sausage.
Dai 24. juni 2024 kl. 5:24
Thank you for this mod. Goes great with my current mod list.
Argón  [ophavsmand] 23. juni 2024 kl. 12:40
Yeah I will update it now. Maybe it wasn't too smart of me to assume everyone will just gravitate towards the remake. I was recently doing some organization of my modding folders too so I will make sure to keep some mods updated.

So this one DOES work on 1.4, but other one is preferred by design. Got it, thank you! If you can, in the future, please update the tag. Thank you so much for responding, the state of this little mod puzzled me on the background for some time.
Argón  [ophavsmand] 23. juni 2024 kl. 12:23
It's kinda deprecated. The new salted meat mod is mostly the same with a couple improvements. This one should work, I just don't pay much attention to updating the tag for compatibility anymore.
chill 23. juni 2024 kl. 8:41
...so is it 1.4 compatible or not?
1.5 is out, is it AT LEAST 1.4 compatible? or is it deprecated and the other "Salted Meat" mod is superior to this one?
i'm confused, Argón
2.Peter.3v9 24. nov. 2023 kl. 23:12
please update
Stellar Harbour 15. jan. 2023 kl. 23:49
Add then
Argón  [ophavsmand] 15. jan. 2023 kl. 22:13
This one is 1.4 compatible tho, it's just not showing because I'm dumb and forgot to add a single line on the about.xml file

Update?
Thranos 30. okt. 2022 kl. 17:04
Anyone using this in 1.4 who can say if it works or not?
IronSides 10. aug. 2022 kl. 22:16
The contents of my fish dryer list is empty. they say they are full 75/75. and it seems no fish have ever come out of them after a long time.

The sausage racks are working fine, selecting quality and everything.
Argón  [ophavsmand] 29. maj 2022 kl. 21:57
2.0 does not depend on Vanilla Cooking Expanded, and is a little better coded as well.
TheRealCaptRex 29. maj 2022 kl. 13:29
whats the difference between this and salted meat 2.0?
Panacea 11. maj 2022 kl. 18:49
Oh ok. Thanks for the reply. :)
Argón  [ophavsmand] 11. maj 2022 kl. 16:56
I will eventually add the feature
Panacea 11. maj 2022 kl. 7:37
Why can human meat not be salted?
Extreme Randy 19. apr. 2022 kl. 18:48
Thanks my dude tahts helpful
Krazyfan1 18. apr. 2022 kl. 22:25
Evaporation Pond
Krazyfan1 18. apr. 2022 kl. 22:23
there is a mod for that
Panacea 18. apr. 2022 kl. 22:13
I like the idea of seawater extraction. All you have to do is boil it down until all the water evaporates away. Neanderthals knew how to do that. Could be a campfire recipe.
Extreme Randy 18. apr. 2022 kl. 7:10
Hi, I have a seaside colony, could there be a way to extract salt from seawater?
Argón  [ophavsmand] 28. jan. 2022 kl. 7:28
you mean salt buried underground? That's a feature of Vanilla Cooking Expanded
SaltyDwarf 28. jan. 2022 kl. 2:35
Thanks for the mod.
Got a question though - it is really frustrating to keep finding salt pockets with short-ranged scanner, is there a way to disable salt from spawning like that?
Argón  [ophavsmand] 19. jan. 2022 kl. 6:32
Maybe the salted meat of this mod is not patched to work with the meat rack of the 2.0 version
creep_ 19. jan. 2022 kl. 6:30
For some reason my pawns seem to love their meat extra-salty and try to put already salted meat back on the meat rack. I only get the option "Insert meat" when trying to start the process, no choice of what to use. Is this some kind of conflict with other foodrelated mods or do you just need to put the preserved goods as far away as possible?
Argón  [ophavsmand] 1. dec. 2021 kl. 14:10
I can add it to the starting technologies of the tribal start
Blorpmeister 1. dec. 2021 kl. 14:04
Is there a way to make it so the basic salted meat is a neolithic research? Salting meat has been a thing for an extremely long time, literally dating back to 3000BC in Mesopotamia.
Dunestyler 20. okt. 2021 kl. 10:40
thanks.
Argón  [ophavsmand] 20. okt. 2021 kl. 10:13
Vanill fishing expanded
Dunestyler 20. okt. 2021 kl. 6:23
which fish mod is this compatible with?
Argón  [ophavsmand] 18. sep. 2021 kl. 16:39
no, not actually, but the code is restriccted to take either a category or an item, and meats are weird since they're not actually defined defs and I can't seem to find "Meat_Human" in the game's giles. If I wanted to use the same processor building to transform any meat into salted meat and to transform human meat into salted human meat, It would be impossible. But I think I can go with just a different building with no issues, just that I won't have time to add it now as I plan to release the mod tomorrow.
Kayedon 18. sep. 2021 kl. 16:36
Is this your first time playing with an ItemProcessor? If so, happy to help troubleshoot!
Argón  [ophavsmand] 18. sep. 2021 kl. 16:28
probably I'll add it later, I'm struggling a bit with the item processor, but it was already on the plans.
Kayedon 18. sep. 2021 kl. 15:16
So long as salted human meat makes an introduction, I'm down! :steamsalty:
Mistletoe The Bard 10. sep. 2021 kl. 1:33
@Argon Wow, Thank you very much! Guess I am really lucky~ hehe
Argón  [ophavsmand] 9. sep. 2021 kl. 6:47
You will be glad to hear that I will be conmemorating the one year anniversary of this mod with the release of what you just asked, I mean, it will only require the Vanilla Expanded Framework, which doesn't add any content.
Mistletoe The Bard 8. sep. 2021 kl. 21:18
May I ask for a independent version? :P I don't really want all those stuff from the vanilla cooking expansion. :p
