i really need to serious sam fusion!!!
Osaka 10. juni 2021 kl. 14:38
I wish this was in Fusion. It'd be excellent there.
Neon Henchman 4. sep. 2020 kl. 14:27
I also found another bug, if you save as a different character, leave the game, then in the next session pick another model, whenever you load the save it crashes. Picking the original model for that save works, but I also figured out that, if you load a save that had regular Sam and play as him, there's no longer that problem for some reason, you can switch characters and load whichever saves however you may please for that session. Just saying this so that people don't think they have to guess which models they originally saved as.
Neon Henchman 31. aug. 2020 kl. 13:56
I suppose it's this mod's fault that caused a crash; if you play as a different character and pick up the Classic Shoes secret in level 1, the game crashes. Just play as regular Sam for a while and at level 2, there should be no problems switching player models.

Will you port this for Serious Sam Fusion ?
Banan 15. juli 2017 kl. 8:24
@Ryason55 With the release of BFE for fusion, did something change that you could add this mod to fusion now?
CrusaderTheFirst 13. juni 2017 kl. 0:04
@Ryason55 Dang. So much for that. Well I wish you luck if you want to keep trying to make this mod possible in fusion. But if you've given up, then at least you tried.
Ryason55  [ophavsmand] 12. juni 2017 kl. 22:17
I've tried porting it, but the way I do it just doesn't work with Fusion. For one, the lightweight saves will set your model to Sam whenever you load a save (though it'll keep your model's sounds for some reason). Secondly, whenever you advance to the next level, your player won't spawn in and you'll get stuck in Spectator view forever.
CrusaderTheFirst 12. juni 2017 kl. 20:49
@Ryason55 Is it possible to port this mod into fusion? If not, please explain why.
Banan 28. apr. 2017 kl. 16:11
Maybe it's a stupid question... but does something changed in the HD editor, so you could add this to the HD Versions?
This mode is one of the best mods in the SS Workshops;)
Marman Myth 14. feb. 2017 kl. 16:32
Thank you I've been waiting for a mod like this.
armymen12002003 25. dec. 2016 kl. 16:36
could you do this for the classics revolution to?
Harry 2K5G 26. apr. 2015 kl. 2:36
Hey Ryason is it possible that in the future you also let the player model show up in the cutscenes? Still thanks for making this mod. :beatmeat:
ax34 12. feb. 2015 kl. 12:03
Unfortunately there's still Sam's model in cutscenes. Is it fixable?
FæEatFaces 13. jan. 2015 kl. 15:43
Also, is it possible to make first-person arms for a custom model and seeing them in first-person with this mod installed? Also, I've think i've found some bugs: 1. When you are using a custom player model and go in first-person if you try to melee an enemy (like try to rip a gnaar's eye out} the camera in which you see through in first-person lowers down to the ground while the melee animation plays, after you succesfully melee an enemy it goes back to normal. 2. (I think this is the game messing up this time around) If you have a custom player model on and you try to switch to a different model the game crashes. Loading problems maybe? I can deal with both if they are un-fixable. I'll tell you if I find more. Lastly, this is a 10/10 mod, I think everyone wanted this. Sorry if I've been commenting too much.
FæEatFaces 13. jan. 2015 kl. 14:09
Oh, wow man, thanks for the quick feed-back and the info. I appreciate it. I will find some other player models to test out. Thank you!!
Ryason55  [ophavsmand] 13. jan. 2015 kl. 13:15
@[U.S.S.] HUNK - That's a problem with the model you're trying to use, not with this mod. The model you're trying to use is mistakenly marked as DLC content, which means you cannot use it unless you have the Jewel of the Nile DLC. For more details, see here:
http://forums.seriouszone.com/showthread.php?t=64586

I left a comment on the model's workshop page, but that's up to the maker of the model to actually fix. If you really can't wait, you can buy the Jewel of the Nile DLC, and you'll never see this problem again. (Croteam should really fix that bug...)
FæEatFaces 13. jan. 2015 kl. 11:18
Ok so I just installed Serious Sam: BFE and I beat the first mission in the game to get a feel of the game. I exited the game to install this mod and the Bio-U.S.S. Lone Wolf & Hunk U.S.S. (Player Model) mod, I subscribed to it first then to this one. I launched Serious Sam MODDABLE version and saw the mods install, I then restarted my game once they did. I get to the main menu and go to Multiplayer Options, then click on HUNK U.S.S. and it crashed giving me a error saying: Cannot load 'Content/SeriousSam3/Models/Plater/HunkUSSORC/HunkUSSORCD.mdl': Required license isn't available. Content/SeriousSam3/Models/Plater/HunkUSSORC/Sounds/HunkUSSSoundScheme.scs . This has happened with every custom player model I've installed yet but default MP models work fine. I've contacted the mod author about it and the conversation has gone NOWHERE.

Please fiz this issue, this is only my first day having the game and I'm already having problems.
Ryason55  [ophavsmand] 20. okt. 2014 kl. 14:29
@Crusader The First - It's impossible to do so. Due to a bug, the SSHD editor cannot save txt/xml files at all, meaning I can't edit the gamemodes. To note, the gamemode xmls NEED to be saved with the editor so that the files are signed with the correct credentials (without such, the game refuses to load them).

The only way would be if Croteam was willing and able to provide properly signed versions of the files with the desired modifications.
CrusaderTheFirst 20. okt. 2014 kl. 13:38
@Ryason55 Is it possible for you to make the same mod for Serious Sam HD: the Second Encounter? If so, please do it. If not, please explain.
Tayzor Azul 30. juni 2014 kl. 9:24
Great mod. Will you plan on makeing this for Serious Sam HD Second Encounter ? :grinsam:
Strange_Music 9. juni 2014 kl. 2:35
Can you make this compatible with Classic Player Jump Height Mod?
Ryason55  [ophavsmand] 8. maj 2014 kl. 18:10
Fixed.
Banan 8. maj 2014 kl. 17:57
@Ryason55 The recent game update has broken your mod, again. I can play custom characters on Single Player campaing, but not in survival.
Ryason55  [ophavsmand] 3. apr. 2014 kl. 4:56
Fixed for real this time. They made one additional change that I didn't anticipate. Consequently, the Classic Outfit now will change your model, so just take note of that.

Oh, and the next update (build 200924) will break the mod too, since they changed things in the gamemodes again.
excelatrate 3. apr. 2014 kl. 4:01
This is currently broken, single player doesnt exist and neither does survival with this mod enabled.
Frozenstar 1. apr. 2014 kl. 20:37
@Ryanson55 I've played many hours, so that's practically a "forever" for me. Please consider putting this case in the description as an warning.
BTW, the new update doesnt work with this mod
Ryason55  [ophavsmand] 31. mar. 2014 kl. 22:46
@Frozenstar I went and checked, and it seems switching out the multiplayer character mod like that makes the game completely redo the save. This wouldn't be a problem normally... except for the fact that the NPC Partner is super-heavy and has to resave entirely as well, meaning every movement calculation from the start of the level. If you're, like, 30 minutes into the level, then yeah, the save will seem like it's taking forever (I did a test, and at 4 minutes of constant movement, a save took almost 40 seconds). Once it actually finishes the save, you should be fine to resume normal operation.

In short: This mod does not corrupt saves. Wait longer.
Frozenstar 31. mar. 2014 kl. 21:26
@Ryason55 I understand. let me clarify: I was using NPC partner alone, every save takes about 2 sec, no big deal. Then i started using this mod. It's nice but i realized i love the auto-saving feature, so after i unsubscribed this mod... all saves i made with this mod loads fine, but player model is still MP model. If i manual-save or auto-save AFTER loading one such save, the game freezes forever. I tried to resubscribe this and save, no avail, still freeze.
Thanks for your efforts, but this mod truly gives corrupted saves.
Ryason55  [ophavsmand] 31. mar. 2014 kl. 14:46
@Frozenstar This mod should not affect the performance of saving in any way, shape, or form.

The NPC Partner mod, on the other hand, can take upwards of a minute to save under certain conditions.
Frozenstar 31. mar. 2014 kl. 8:21
Thanks, all my previous saves are corrupted. After unsubscribing this, the model is still in mp mode. Any attempt to save freezes the game....
I was using this mod along with NPC partner mod.
Ryason55  [ophavsmand] 13. mar. 2014 kl. 1:01
Notice: Trying to use this mod with the current Public Beta will crash the game. This is due to the new gamemode changes that are coming about. I'll fix the problem as soon as these changes come to the main (non-beta) version of the game.
Necromonger 11. feb. 2014 kl. 10:20
Hey guys who is the character in the second picture? Please respond
Pan 4. feb. 2014 kl. 2:33
That's super neato.
Finzy 4. feb. 2014 kl. 2:31
Incredible work, I bet a lot of people were waiting for this. Goes really nicely with all the custom model mods out there, *cough* SFL included *cough* :P
Solais 31. jan. 2014 kl. 1:30
That's because the Sam in the cutscenes are a different, pre-set model that can't be changed like that... Or well, I suppose it can be changed, but it will cause -weird- errors.
Lugbzurg 30. jan. 2014 kl. 11:53
The only little issue that isn't mentioned here is that you'll still have Sam in cutscenes. Seems pretty odd.
Lugbzurg 30. jan. 2014 kl. 8:41
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!! I've wanted to do this for SO LONG! So, thank you! ^_^
Guillotine 29. jan. 2014 kl. 21:49
Finally someone makes a mod for this. Thank you.
Ryason55  [ophavsmand] 29. jan. 2014 kl. 18:01
Quick update: Made the player list look a bit nicer in SP Campaign. Also, updated the notes in the description with a quick fix for player models not loading properly.
cachorro de setembro 29. jan. 2014 kl. 12:57
It doesn't work for me :c
