Useless. Every battle where he has used, I had trouble keeping it alive. The numbers don't match with the in-game action. It is way weaker than the vanilla chars.

I think I found a bug with her Clockwork Heart trinket. The Clockwork Heart is supposed to make her immune to marks, yet she was marked by a Swine Drummer. I'm not running any mods that *should* affect The Salamander. I have a screenshot if you want proof.

cool class i would only make grappling claw affect the 2 back rows instead of only the last target making it hard to use if any enemy dies

I know it's a big ask, but... will this guy ever be adapted for the Black Reliquary? I think the Osvengr guys just go so well there, and it would be one step closer to a full Ostvengr party...

I really hate how I feel like I need to bring her with the runaway so that she feels useful.

I think she would feel a lot better if using flame gout buffed her own damage output for dragons breath. That way it’s like she’s warming up her weapon.

It just feels like she doesn't have a reason for me to bring her along. There's characters that just do a straight up better job.

Shouldn't she have some sort of oil spray and then dragonfire? Like what's the logic? Why does gout cause increased fire damage?

Her last two abilities don't feel in theme nor does it feel good to pick between her abilities.

Definitely needs more work.

It looks like you're trying to choose between sekiro mechanic girl or pyromaniac. Like two abilities rotate around dragonfire but using them requires finessing with her abilities or other champion abilities.

Hi. Big fan of the mod, but I would like to request a trinket limit of 1 for the character's trinkets. I'm quite early in a new save with several characters but frustratingly I am already encountering duplicate trinkets from her.

Totally awesome mod but why is the damage so low? As a character focused on front line a damage output of 7-14 feels really low at high levels. When the leper is doing 13-26 and crusader 9-17 it feels better to take someone else. Which is a shame given how cool everything else is about the character.

Since The Runaway and associated patches released, The Salamander has become a blazing star in my roster. Put together the Fahrenheit 451 team of Runaway, Corsair, Arsonist and this hotty and holy moly, the results are fire; no pun intended. Crits in the triple digits. Love it!

Love this design/abilities. and just found out that she is a she. only real issue is that there isn't much in terms of pallet color changes. but had a blast using her in the comps I ran.

Nice pyromania class, though s-purple's original design with the slightly alternate armor and cape looked much better

Amazing flavour and okay skills, this character will light up your roster and set enemies ablaze. Not stronger than vanilla crew, she will work with them perfectly.

Best thing about this class is the versatility. Out of all her moves, she encourages a dancer/ jester-like playstyle when it comes to her melee skills/ranged skills

On the one hand you have the ability to debuff the enemy and buff her to lessen the risk of her AoE attack. On the other, you have the constancy of bleeding, pulls, and stuns.

And the lovecraftian horror can settle in when you realize that she's probably not much human anymore underneath that hard exterior. If the helmet roaring with flames is any indication, she's trapped herself to an Iron Maiden of fire in the belief of technological superiority

The Salamander was my very first mod to try on my DD journey and, oh boy, was it a great start! She's flexible on the battlefield, elegant in moves and smoking hot! Erm... Cause she breathes fire. You've got the point...

So, if you want yourself a real hot expereince, that is the best choice...

One of the most beautiful classes for DD ever. Somehow the abilities and mechanics lack depth though - have to think it through, befor coming up with specific suggestion.

Slamander always starts with all his abilities unlocked unlike other "standard" classes. This is bug probably.

"Salamander's Breath" seems to be very, very overpowered especially if you wear some trinket increasing HP. His damage dealt is insane, especially on first levels. What can I suggest is:
- lowering base dmg of that skill;
- lowering crit for that skill;
- instead of random 4 HP he gets (66%) do staging: 1 HP (100%), 1 HP (90%), 1 HP (80%), 1 HP (70%) and 1 HP (60%). He will have guaranteed 1 HP loss, which can be harmful and end up with Death Door. Max HP loss can be 5 HP, slightly greater than current one, but last has lower chance to be applied. This way, anyone who spams this skill, will be more caustious.

Beside that, I really like this class. I'm still testing it out, because it is one of my highest level heroes.

Is there a proper way to play this class? I don't really understand how to make them work well. It seems sort of counter-intuitive to burn 3-4 turns on one high health mob and then clean the rest up with a salamander breath to then take a bunch of damage when you're presumably in the recovery phase. In Champion this is even worse because you have to burn a trinket on ACC to get reliable hits in, and then 4 turns of dealing like 15 damage to then be able to do 15-20 damage to 3 targets doesn't seem like a good pay-off, especially considering the extra health cost of leaving low health creatures on the board to be able to Salamander Breath.

I cant use flame gout after being inflicted with crimson curse? everything else about this mod has been wonderful and i only encountered this problem quite recently

I really like the concept and artwork of this mod. But I feel like salamanders breath is really underwhelming.

I'd enjoy this class so much more if Salamander's Breath was a better payoff. It just isn't realistic to build up enough of a damage bonus as it stands to incentivize locking in to the 3 skills necessary to use it... kinda making what seems like the main thematic attack of the class not actually represent how to optimize using the class. Now there is a camp skill for it as well, but again it only gives a 20% boost with a 25% self damage penalty.

Building around Pile Bunker and using the powerful Steam Vent's debuff can work pretty well though.

-50 Torch burning speed from "Blaze of Glory" can be removed dy herbs.

This is one of the best mods. I love how it matches the game's style and you made it perfectly balanced. Red Hook should hire you.

God she's AMAZING in the Farmstead. Just obliterates whole waves of husks one after the other, so long as you keep her healed. Plus she's got such an awesome vibe.
