@Liam no problem! I didn't want to have to make a rereleased version of this addon because of that one issue, so I have no reason to keep the version I edited. It is your addon afterall, so thank you for the response.

Welp, I literally just figured it out. Every SetInflictor must be changed to SetAttacker. It's that easy.

I'm no lua expert, but I'm pretty sure there was a change in the March 2025 update which effects how damage is inflicted which I'm pretty sure via CTakeDamageInfo. Again, don't take my word on that, but I think that's what's causing the issues.

I know you don't really update this addon anymore, but do please fix this issue. This is probably my favourite addon in Gmod, simply because of how unique it is. I know you look at the comments sometimes since you commented literally only over a week ago, so that gives me some hope that this can be fixed. Thank you.

Good evening, I would like to report a potentially mod breaking bug that has affected this addon ever since the March 2025 update.

Variations that change how you inflict damage on npcs such as knockback, puller, cloaked, motherchildren, boss, bigboss, lifesteal, pyro, gnome, (although I'm pretty sure that still works when they're higher level for some reason) and I'm pretty sure chimera, and any other that I might be forgetting, are virtually useless for npcs that use weapons such as guns, crowbars etc.

To give a few examples, the Player, npcs like Barney, Alyx, Rebels, Combine etc, barely inflict any knockback and puller effects even at level 100, pyro only sets enemies on fire for a millisecond, I don't think lifesteal works at all, boss, bigboss, motherchildren, and cloaked barely even do damage at level 100 and so on.

However I would like to note that npcs that use melee attacks like the headcrabs, antlions, zombies etc DO still fully work as intended.

@Colio Mother is one that gets bigger, I think you just mean to disable mother? I don't recall having any setting that disables changing npc size specifically

Am a blind and stupid? Or is there no way to disable different NPC sizes anymore?

would it be possible to add support to zbase npcs? they work just fine but lots of abilities like knockback and puller dont work on zbase npcs with guns, but they do with melee attacks. if not, thanks anyway!

is there a way to enable this only for SNPCS? i feel like this would be really fun for demon or alien SNPCS but it feels rather out of place when combine are affected

WAIT THIS GOT UPDATED!

Added some boring quality of life stuff first, to get that out of the way before adding variants:
- Removed psychic
- Option added: Min & max level
- Option added: Hide EV-X hud
- Option added: Normal-sized NPCs if they would be bigger than normal, so they don't get stuck
- Option added: Chimera camera intro disable (on by default)

The options can be found under Utilities -> EV-X

Not every variation is planned, some of them I might try out then ditch if it doesn't seem to work out.

Hi.so Im really like your mod but im curious if Rogue is still there.i really like idea of a Zombie that will attack Head crabs but wont attack zombies(and other enemies too).

It is a Chimera. The Chimera is boss variant that spawns after a certain number of npcs are killed (this number being configurable in utilities) it has 1000 hp, it can use a bunch of strong variants and has a exclusive variant known as the Physic. Physic messes with your movement and weapons. you can disable the Physic variant in the settings in utilities.

maybe it was a chimera and i was touching the scrollweel and accidently scrolling but wont i notice i was scrolling the scrollweel?
