Its as simple as changing the caliber value in the CfgAmmo Class you want to change. I hid the ACE Magazines in my newer mod A3RO.

The only thing I'm interested in with this is you deprecating the large magazines. Any idea how to change the vanilla 'caliber' setting on the 5.45x39 to 1.0 instead of 0.6, and how to hide or get rid of the ACE ammo without getting rid of ACE ballistics?

Great mod for my own solo duws_x 2035 campaign, very useful Spar 6.5mm able to pen any armour.

A little suggestion about this mod, I want to be compatible with:

It's not only compatible with ACE 3, it requires it.

I think MX series not ACR.
Before the Contact DLC, I thought the MX is ACR or FN series.
But after that, the Promet rifle is the Bullup variants from MX series...

GM has multiple different 7.62 ammo-types. Wether or not they are more realistic than the vanilla ones I can't vouch for. The Base GM 7.62 derives from the vanilla 7.62 already. While it would be possible, I currently don't have the time for modding.

I have new question after finding out GM DLC (I don't own it) has "real world" 7.62 caliber ballistics. Would you be able to balance the vanilla ammo to use the SAME 7.62 ballistics as GM? So that would be the reference and all other ammo, 5.56, 9mm, 6.5mm would be weighted accordingly? I want to tear up a car for instance with an AK since that is what it can do in real life, not just ping ping ping off the doors or hoods.

The Rhino comes it various calibers, one of them being 9x21mm.

Shouldn't the Rhino 60DS fire .357 Magnum? I understand if you couldn't configure that ammunition into Arma but Berlioz probably wouldn't mind helping you with that either since he's very good with implementing realistic ballistics lol

I would agree with Semper and V. Berlioz. If we reduce the CSAT ARMOR value with Gear Rebalance, but use AAPM as well with UAS and this, the MX would still lose due to the AAPM plating. For the MX, I would keep it at 6.8 otherwise, we have to step up all default NATO units to 7.68 HK 417 to compensate.

Semper, as said in the description, I highly recommend using this with "Gear Rebalance", as that fixes CSATs armour advantage. I will, however, talk to Berlioz and see if I can add a few calibers of my own into this mod.

I agree with Semper. The MX is really weak if it's down to 5.56. I'd recommend 6.8x43mm SPC for sure. I'll gladly run you through ammo and mag configuration if you like.

yes but why tho? This change just favours CSAT with their ridiculous armor values. keeping it 6.8 with the low fire rate of the MX would make it actually viable against CSAT.

ChickenMon I am aware they hired CMMG to design it. It is easily noticeable however that they took heavy design inspiration from both the Remington ACR and the Robinsons Armaments's XCR-L. And since the MX doesn't exist IRL, I went with the ACR since Remington used to offer various versions akin to those in-game. The only Caliber that is available for this weapon ingame is 5.56, so i went with that.

Wait, why is the MX 556? the MX is actually a gun BI patented/had CMMG design. Its never been actually made, but it is a actual design.

Interesting. I'll see if Vanilla or ACE have a matching caliber to use instead for the pistols. I'm not experienced enough to create a custom caliber, so I'll go by these first.
Also, Berlioz, Im creating the compat myself but I thank you for the offer.

I'd be happy to assist with the UAS compatibility patch however I can. It should be a simple magazinewell swap, although the proxy models might get in the way a little.

Theres no issue with the calibers themselves in regards to AAPM as I've simply used already existing vanilla ones. UAS however still applies the wrong ammotypes, so I will releasing a Patch for this in the near future.

Interesting mod. Is this compatible with Universal Ammo System and Advanced Armor Plating Mod? Since that rebalances both ballistics and armor with plating options as well?
