@AtticNote's great mods, I am working an upcoming mod update for TW3 - Dynamic World mod, could I include these VFX's effects (Wood Elf Forest Mist) and (Vampiric Corruption Mist) into my next update

@blackGoat - if you're editing a vfx file... save the mod file type as a "movie" type. Then place into data directory.

Just a heads up, but I was trying to play with a bunch of mods and the game would start, however I would be at a black screen when I finally reached the campaign map. I pulled this mod out alone and restarted and the game ran fine. Not sure if this is helpful or not but I figured I would let you know!

Just a note given some of the other comments on mist density: I don't think the current volume is over the top. I think it's great as is.

I believe OvN Lost Factions adds storms over Albion, though it may only be tied to the custom faction.

@Dwight Hut Pizza I don't think that's doable sadly. This mods works by adding mist to vfx used only for wood elf settlements. There would need to be vfx unique to Albion to use this same method.

@MtMo Thanks for explaining. this mod adds mist vfx to vfx positions unique to wood elf settlements. I should add that to the description.

PoohPuss Yeah hard to draw the line between wanting to see some mist and having it look over the top. Might have over done it.

I'd suggest experimenting with making the mist more transparent and a tad more dispersed. Right now I can't decide whether my forest is misty, on fire, or if I've concealed factories pumping out pollution among the stumps. :p

Correction: The mist is tied to the Wood elf settlement skin. Which means the mist will be present for all Magical Forest settlements owned by wood elves even with the new patch. And for all settlements owned by wood elves if you use a mod like Cultural Settlement Skins.

It seems to be tied to faction ownership or climate, and not to specific settlements. I have just tested with Drycha, and the Gryphon Wood has the mist too.

Really love the idea behind this mod. In my opinion, it would be cool if you can expand on this further by adding it to places in the game that have a mist or fog in the lore. For example, the island of Albion is stated on the Warhammer Wiki page that it is shrouded in mist and heavy fog.

@Ana Hmm yeah could add them back but very faint as you mention something like alpha 0.1 to 0.4

@Xenon Oh cool cheers. I worked it out after see chaosrobbie's mod and seeing it's png in the file folder but it's gif on the mod page so realised hey it's a gif renamed to png to trick the mod manager :)

@kelstr ah glad you like it yeah could look into that orion mist and use it for vamp lords too i guess and plague rats.

@Look Over There! It doesn't seem to work on new regions gained but there is dragonfly vfx showing with them so I think there is a way to get it working but haven't found it yet.

I assume this mist applies to any and all territories the Welfs take control of, yes?

How would this look if applied to the Welfs at the bottom of the map: Oreon's Camp. Would the mist look good over a desert backdrop?

I just got an idea... what if we added this forest mist as a campaign vfx to Orion himself? so wherever he goes on the map... he has this shroud of mist around him?
