all good on the Engineer module all works now
me and Madfaux was sat here actually questioning if Swoks gave mutliple now haha we cant remember, could just be my poor memory
Swoks wasnt directly changed - same as any Xsotan related event / encounter. I'd expect vanilla drops here, not sure if it even was supposed to drop multiple artifacts.
more curious than anything with Boss Swoks, is it coded in Xavoiron to only drop 1 XSTN per time? regardless of players present? we are from Vanilla, more curious than anything as stated
I've noticed you got something wrong with having Equipment Docks present, and some stations not selling equipment(like resource depots). Minor mod conflict it seems.
Anyway, glad it works so far ; ) you can always contact me here if needed
i mean hell thats no problem, we all forget things, appreciate the quick responses
Thanks, I'll need to re-check this. Build mode was tested too, I must have missed something in updating files.
So Me and MadFaux tested the Engineer Core Module, when in a sector without a shipyard the engineer core module brings up the "on-screen" notif that theres a shipyard in the sector however the build mode still doesnt work as a plus note to this you are able to un-equip subsystems freely
This mod, on this page was all in one for ancient version of Avorion.
You need to add at least all 16 mods from Quick-Install collection. Optionals at the bottom
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2923185631
With directional thrusters, in exact same rotation as original gyro blocks. So nothing really changes, except replacing incompatible blocks.
I've updated descriptions to make it less confusing now.
Yes, to get the full experience - at least all 15 mods need to be installed.
There are extra missions available, optionals mods and tweaks - you don't need them, but those are available from main mod page.
I've tried to organize & explain everything in one place - the main mod page:
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2923179923
To answer your question about expansions,
this mod turned out to be so large, I had to cut it into 15 parts.
Some of them are just optional ( eg. Mining, for those that dont want extra challenge there ),
some are mandatory, but separate just for organizational purpose ( and steam description page word limit ).
Each mod page has an explanation and dependencies listed, that's a lot of text so a quick install collection is available too.
Thanks for sharing what caused that. And thanks for playing :)
I'll put more info in encyclopedia in the future. But yeah, you got it right.
Asteroid related mods are not needed and will have a conflict, and not all sectors can support mines.
( Just to avoid confusion, this is about 2.3+ version )
The mod "Claimable resource asteroids" caused the problem. Removing it allowed me to found a mine on normal asteroids
Quick question: I claimed 3 asteroids, but seem unable to build anything on them. I've searched through these comments and the in-game encyclopedia, but it wasn't' clear: Is this expected behavior? Perhaps with the economy changes, some systems cannot support mines?
Or is my save possibly bugged?
This version is outdated for more than a year now.
Yes, sector contents were increased and that always affects load time.
There's no fix, unless you edit all sector generation scripts, especially asteroid spawns.
Even vanilla can take few minutes to load though.
( You can try 2.0, I think load times got cut down in general )
Some small features are still missing, but will be available as optional mods.
List of currently available modules can be found here:
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2923185631
My apologies, it has not been abandoned, but amount of changes and lack of personal time has slowed development a lot.
There's still much more work to put into 2.0 update, which is much more than just version upgrade.
But no promises here, I might need to cut features just to deliver updated mod at all.
That being said, if any modder is interested in uploading Xavorion derived mods/updates, feel free to do so.
I'm going to leave 1.3.8 on workshop permanently, in case there are people still playing previous version of Avorion.
Right click on Avorion in your steam library
Select "Properties..."
In that window older versions are available under "BETAS"
Short answer: As far as I know, not possible.
Long answer:
I can't find any function that would save a block plan to same xml file format as it is done in Build Mode. Besides that issue, it would be possible.
If you're curious, it seems possible to "steal" or copy an existing ship into your own, then saving it in Build Mode, but that's it.
Still, it sounds like a fun mechanic for a Xsotan boss... ; )
You need to enable mods from main menu > settings > mods. If it does not show up there, well, I have no idea how it could happen. Also, keep in mind that since Avorion 2.0 is in beta right now, this mod will get obsolete soon.
@Hog McMassive
Great job, thanks! My own version is still buggy and unplayable.
Don't let that stop you, I may fail, it may turn out bad, who knows. We need more people in modding community. I've never touched scripting in X-series, the game itself seemed hard enough :D But Avorion has a great potential, and working with Lua here is quite fun (after few failed attempts at least). If you wanted to try something, just do it. We do things for fun and learn from each other, IMO that's the charm of modding.
As far as I know, there is none yet. Since you asked, that's something I'm working on right now for the next update. No ETA, but don't expect it before Avorion 2.0 update.
Thanks, that's a good point. It should be possible to guess primary material of a sector by just looking at resources inside, but looking for something in particular is still a pain. Added to list of things to fix. Thanks again
Most mods are not compatible with Xavorion. You should not be able to jump without fuel in your cargo bay. It's either some other mod overriding files, or you're not playing the game in English ( yeah, that's a known issue, sorry for that )
There is a random warning about the conflict of the modifications installed on the ship, although it costs only two - for the extraction of ore and the operation of sensors.
Maybe there is some kind of mod that breaks the work?
