Doesn't work anymore for some reason. I have the beacon on Jenassa but no marker.

This is exactly what I've been needing. I hate losing my follower during combat as she runs off to kill other bad guys and I have to hunt for their corpses to loot them. This way I can finish my guy and instantly run off to find her instead of waiting to see from which direction she returns. Should have been a much more popular mod.

Great mod, thanks a lot! I have a really big player home (Castle Volkihar Redux) and it's sometimes not easy to find my wife / follower there. This is a great help!

can somebody tell me the id of the beacon? I have a second follower and a companion that i would like to put a beacon in too.

First of all, great mod :D Second of all, can you change the colour of the marker? Since it may be confused with quest markers, maybe green? Ty for reading this and i hope you change the colour ^^

@Hurk No it does not, all it does is apply a marker to wherever the beacon is placed.

@kiloechoesp Thanks to your advice, im pretty confident I have fixed the bug. Now when using the script cleaner, only the main scripts are running. When I tested it before, it was running over 1000 of the same scripts (with different IDs) at the same time. When I say im 'Pretty confident' I mean I have tested it for an hour, and not seen the save file bloat. So if everyone wants to try out the update and let me know of any developments, that would be awesome! Thanks to everyone for their support!

Not safe. for some reason this launched 22k active scripts. Had to install save game script cleaner to clean out the scripts. called "mapmarker" quest active scripts. Pretty sure it was this mod.

@Littleegg_09 Yeap that should work!

As an update to everyone else, I still haven't found a fix for the save file glitch, so I would reccomend that if you are having troubles switch to my other follower marker mod.

in this mod cam you place it in a chest or on the floor if you have made a camp and it will show up on the map?

and i came up with a good idea that might be better until you get it fixed if you can make it so that you create a new copy of a shrine and the gps as the effect so you can tell a follower throught dialogue to activate the shrine which then adds the to the npc that activates it and if you want them to deactivate it you tell them to use it again while its in effect to remove it

if you run Rogue Script Remover while playing the game it might help remove things that are in your mod that cause bloating as that is what the Rogue Script Remover is ment for so if you test to see if it stops the save from increasing that would be good

@Mr blue Thanks for that. The Sofia mod doesnt seem to apply to the way this mod is set up. The fact the marker follows the character is different to this mod. With this mod, the marker follows the object, which is placed in the follower's inventory. Also, the link you sent about the Rogue Script Remover seemed good, but I dont understand how I could apply this to my mod. :)

djjohnjarvis has a mod which has a quest in the journal that tracks the follower that they created which is Sofia - The Funny Fully Voiced Follower so the might be able to help with this bug

One more thing, I like this mod because of the item itself. It's easier to place the object and it just works perfectly. The quest version isn't as easy to use.. :(

Hey Calypso! Sorry about that :\ I havent really looked at the problem causing this for a very long time. So I reccomend anyone using this switch to my other mod that uses quests instead!

I just saved again, and now it 300mb.... i dont know what the heck is going on... :C My hard drive is dying from this. It's an hour to load a save game... I have to load an old save. It's so bad... :(

Hey, I think this is causing save file bloating. My save file was 10mb. After installing this mod, it jumped to over 100mb....
