Noticed that soil-tilling speed scales with the Construction skill rather than Plants, despite it being part of the "Grow" work category. Is this intentional, or just a limitation?
purple8cloud 20 aug. la 16:33
is there fruit can be grow in gravship?
Alerios 17 aug. la 2:58
Is it possible to add the psilocap to be cultivated?
Sarg Bjornson  [autor] 16 aug. la 22:40
Yeah
Proxyer 16 aug. la 13:46
The two types of soil added to TillableTerrainDefs.xml are exclusive to the Odyssey DLC, so will it be fine without the DLC and without MayRequire="Ludeon.RimWorld.Odyssey"?
maqadamia 16 aug. la 12:52
is there any chance for a mod setting or smth to change the Till soil work type to plant work? it's difficult to use my plants specialist when the work type is Construction
Sarg Bjornson  [autor] 6 aug. la 14:07
Eventually, yeah
Luneyl 6 aug. la 10:41
Is it planned to be fixed?
Sarg Bjornson  [autor] 5 aug. la 9:53
Yep
Luneyl 5 aug. la 9:51
It appears they have their own soil defs which are not in the tilled soil filter.
GrasslandSoil
GlowforestSoil
Luneyl 5 aug. la 9:46
Tilled Soil order doesn't work in Grassland and Glowforest biomes from Odyssey. It can't select any tiles there.
Paprikahörnchen 5 aug. la 7:57
@MizterMix Do you maybe have the "Wild Plants Give Hay" mod?
Sarg Bjornson  [autor] 3 aug. la 7:04
Plant produce is all equal in vanilla, though
五兽朱雀 3 aug. la 5:00
really thank you for your works.i want to suggest sth. to make this mod better:i see that different plants' price are same but there grow time are different and their nutrients are different too.i mean it was not so meet common sense .could you change the price of different plants?thank you!may be i didn't see your other mod if you already do it please tell me
Alos 28 iul. la 1:03
yeah the grassland biome must be the issue, same here
m0ek 27 iul. la 13:17
@Предплечье you're probably playing in grassland biome. it doesn't work on the "soil" there, even tho it says soil, it's not the same soil as in the other biomes. it has a more yellow texture.

but maybe it could be added to work there as well? :)
Sarg Bjornson  [autor] 26 iul. la 22:50
Not this mod
MizterMix 26 iul. la 15:31
I dont know if its through this mod. but when i try to make a field of hay, where they dont cut the plants, my colonists still harvest it. Wanted to throw a message here, thinking it may be related to this mod
Sarg Bjornson  [autor] 24 iul. la 10:13
Works perfectly fine for me
Предплечье 24 iul. la 10:12
Could someone explain how to actually use "Tilled soil" from orders menu? It does nothing, I take it, point on "soil (walk speed 87 fert 100)" start expanding the tool to form a square shape - it's hollow and it does nothing. Just nothing happens, no matter if I already designated a zone for growing or not, neither if there are plants already, or absent, or just started growing or almost done. The tool does nothing
melelconquistador 21 iul. la 8:17
PLayed with this mod for so long that i entirely forgot how few crops are in unmodded rimworld.
Quoniam23 18 iul. la 11:34
Got it, thank you! I appreciate your hard work and dedication (as well as the whole VE team!) Keep up the excellent work!
Sarg Bjornson  [autor] 18 iul. la 10:29
It's not an error. We will take some time to adapt EVERYTHING to the new biomes, animals, etc
Quoniam23 18 iul. la 10:22
Doesn't generate an error log, Hugs or otherwise, or I'd submit through the form.
Quoniam23 18 iul. la 10:20
FWIW, it doesn't work in Glowforests either, but will work in Scrublands or Lava Fields. Oddly enough, in the mixed biomes, it works in the pre-existing half (e.g., Arid Scrubland, Temperate Forest) but not in the Grassland/Glowforest half, even when the underlying terrain is "soil 100%" on both parts.
Quoniam23 18 iul. la 10:06
Not a bug per se, but I've found that tilling doesn't function in the Grasslands biome. Nor do any of the trees for this mod. I can till fields in previously existing biomes, but not in Grasslands. I'll check to see if there are issues in other Odyssey introduced biomes.
Sarg Bjornson  [autor] 18 iul. la 3:26
No idea
SGT. Jensen 18 iul. la 3:25
Blueberry is missing too. As another example.
SGT. Jensen 18 iul. la 3:23
Somehow I'm missing few plants in the list of plants, like Cherry Tree for example (Tree Sowing researched). What can it be?
Sarg Bjornson  [autor] 17 iul. la 22:48
?
[PR] HavenOnline 17 iul. la 14:57
why is bro updating the VE mods to 1.6
VitaKaninen 15 iul. la 14:18
Use What's That Mod, then select the lemons, open the info tab, and it will tell you what mod they are from.
fatburner 15 iul. la 14:09
Is this the mod that adds lemon trees? There are always lemons scattered across the map and the colonists are always hauling them around. I guess i just figured out the solution. Do not accept lemons in any stockpile
fatburner 15 iul. la 14:08
Hello, great mod. Any plans to overhaul the soil tilling? Or how do people use it? I guess im a noob
Sarg Bjornson  [autor] 15 iul. la 4:12
No, it's just a term for it
Jixxor 15 iul. la 4:02
The mod description says
"A new ability to plow soil has also been introduced once you meet the designated research. Plowing soil boosts its fertility to that of Rich soil, however when the plant is harvested, tilled soil returns to its previous form and needs to be plowed again."

Is plowing different to tilling? I can't find either in the Tech tree, but Tilling is available from the start.
Sarg Bjornson  [autor] 15 iul. la 3:05
No, we never talked about it being locked under research
Meelonius 15 iul. la 3:02
Solved, adding comment for othes:

Plow soil option (tilled soil) is not an research anymore, the mod description is outdated and misleading (both description and infographic).

The ability to plow soil is under Orders -> Tilled soil
Sarg Bjornson  [autor] 14 iul. la 6:53
There is no research. Use the search bar
Meelonius 14 iul. la 6:52
Same issus as Rich, not able to find a way to plow a field...Which reserach should enable the option?
Stellar Harbour 14 iul. la 2:25
Is there even any reason to plant vanilla stuff when we have so many cool new crops with different bonuses?
VitaKaninen 12 iul. la 6:44
Beets don't die in winter, but you can't plant them in freezing weather since the soil is frozen.
Andrømeda 12 iul. la 1:45
Hey, just to let you know I can't plant Beet Plants (and cant right click on the field that I asked Beet Plants to be planted in). Other plants seem ok. I only have Vanilla Expanded Framework, Vanilla Plants Expanded, Vanilla Skills Expanded and Vanilla Traits Expanded in addition to all the normal paid DLCs. I'm sorry I don't know how to make a bug report as it doesn't pop up with any error.
Thanks for everything!
Sarg Bjornson  [autor] 9 iul. la 1:54
The fuck indeed, the fuck indeed.

AKA what do you want me to do without a bug report?
Freeasabird🕊 9 iul. la 1:52
Can't even select Red Beefsteak tomatoes to sell to other factions. And My pawns don't use them in cooking at ALL i have over 2k of them. WTF man :/
Rich 5 iul. la 12:22
it says that the plow soil option will be available after research. I cant see this research option anywhere. any help.
Sarg Bjornson  [autor] 3 iul. la 7:29
No idea, but I don't see why that is relevant
VitaKaninen 3 iul. la 7:19
Apples and other fresh fruit are now showing up at the bottom of the resource list on the left of the screen, when they should be at the top in the raw food section. Also, fresh fruit is listed between genepacks and books when trading.

lloki 29 iun. la 14:45
Ok, it was probably connected with DDS textures not updated in RimSort. I deleted old ones and created new - working just fine. Maybe it helps someone :)
lloki 29 iun. la 14:23
Thanks for checking. Obviously some mod conflict on my end. Maybe someone would have the same problem and find the reason or maybe I'll find it eventually.
