Sooooo I don't know, of it there is a place to go to, but my campaign suddenly stopped giving me the ability to recruit archers mid turn In Grand Campaign.

I have unlocked the roman archer mods for the grand campaign and 2 dlc's. The other dlc's are not compatible. I have not updated the mods because I find that the developers do not handle customers and communty fair.
Nevertheless, I try to change my opinion because my mods are for YOU. I earn my money by making mods for companies. That's why I'm always very busy and do not care about it. I know that many like an update for the archer mods.
I will test the game with the roman archer mods in 2 weeks. The files have lot's of changes by the many updates. I think the buildings has been changed and renamed. Therefore, the mod may not work correctly.
I have to compare all vanilla files with my files. That's a lot of files to check.
I made my own units with my own weapons and arrows. Therefore, no conflict can arise here. So it's either the new campaigns, changes in buildings or technologies. I hope I find the conflicts and give you a bit of hope.

That is very strange. Works perfectly fine for me, even with a ton of other mods, including unit mods.
Have you verified integrity of the game cache? Did you tick the "enable out-dated mods" checkbar before launching?

Can't recruit em in Hannibal at the gates campaign, tried changing mod files myself with no luck, not enough knowledge about what table represents what. There are tech and faction restrictions in place.

I can confirm that this seems to be working as of 2019. I can recruit these units in the campaign and field them in battle with no problems.

Paste the code for the unpatched file into the first box,
then paste the code for the new patched file into the second box,
choose 'Inline' comparison (should be more comfortable),
then look for the red and green lines. These are the lines that have changed.

Hope it helps you narrow that annoying difference down!

This mods costs me 2 weeks work. You have to pay attention or the game does not load. The mod itself is well made and manageable. The problem with every rome update was that the vanilla files are changing. That means you have to first recognize what has been changed.
Sometimes only one number has been changed or added another word. For example, buildings.

I will first compare the vanilla files with my buildings. You have also make the mod playable for the dlc's. Everyone uses the archer for different campaigns. That will not be easy + I'm a bit out of practice with total war 'pack file manager'. It may take hours, days, to find something.

But the good thing is that the main archer mod work and it is probably only the last barrack level 4 (building, upgrade, technologie research problem or a mix of all) . This allows me to narrow the problem.

The other archers are still working!?

Yeah i know the feelinf Chief. In my experience the game crashes if you add 5 or 6 units. The game has so many units that adding more makes Rome 2 crash. I'm literally forced to use existing units. Change them and rename them for the targeted faction.

The rome files are getting more and more complex. I will update this month all 3 archer mods if I can find the problem. I work a lot on other mods and have to deal with 'pack file manager' and the 'updated rome files'. Thanks for the feedback.

Sorry to bother you, but could you also set them to use vanilla projectiles and not your own custom made ones? It'll make it more compatible with combat mods and such.

I've upgraded and researched everything to max, and can no longer recruit any archers except for the heavy auxiliary ones. Why?
And can it be changed so that you have acess to all tiers, regardless of advancement? It's good to still be able to recruit the less advanced ones due to upkeep.

The difference are the models, a few stats because other weapons, armor and unit cards. Therefore, one can combine this packs easily. I wanted this in such a way. You can play with all three packs in the same save game and take your current favorite. This means all packs are compatible.
