it seems that speed modules actually reduce the amount of hydrogen and oxygen produced by these? Or at least this is what build info is reporting. at 700% speed it should produce 350kl/s and instead is reduced to 35kl/s

With max speed and max yield
putting in 10-100-1000 ice causes the max speed to generate more h2 then yield pr non upgraded by a lot. The max speed had roughly 4.5 times the amount of h2 for the same amount of ice. I don't know if there is a way to check if the ice is less then a certain amount to not process it or to not give excess gas.

To fix the bug with the incorrect base rate when an Upgrade Module is added:

In \Scripts\MaO2\Models\OxyGen.cs, replace "KshDefaultMultiplier" on lines 79 and 81 with "def.IceConsumptionPerSecond"

There seems to be a bug with adding upgrades to this. When you first build it, it will consume 250/s of ice to make 2.5 kL/s O2 and 5 kL/s H2. But if you add any upgrade that base rate is reduced to 150/s of ice to make 1.5 kL/s O2 and 3 kL/s H2 and any upgrades will be based on that reduced rate. The only other mods I had loaded were Build Vision and Build Info.

I'm using More Upgrade Modules mod ( https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2859883121 ) , and the apparent max is one 50x, and one 10x, of the same module, and no other module. If there some way to make it so that I can use 100x upgrade modules from the mod to upgrade this? And multiple different modules? :steamsad:

Seems i am also having issues with this mod however it only seems to kick in when the upgrade modules are added to the block.

For the sake of testing i made 2 of them, one had no modules at all and the other did have modules then removed them so there would be no modules at all. Then went and placed 250 units of ice in each to put hydrogen into a completely empty tank and noticed the amount of hydrogen produced is way less compared to the one that had no modules attached at all.

Just to clarify both had no modules when the ice was put in.

On a side note love the look of the airtight modules

strange. are there any other mods that affect upgrade modules? you might have to try 1 at a time to find the incompatibility.

Hello, when I install any upgrade module (speed, yield) to this generator it makes no difference in processing speed or ice consumption and in details of module it says "incompatible". I tried airtight versions which come from this mod as well and they behave the same. Am I doing something wrong?

Soo GIANT H2 Engine when lol. I mean Spamming H2 Generators were weird but spamming H2 Engines are still a thing....

That mod and this one seem to have opposite mentality.. He is trying to make a balance change which effectively slows this down 6x and makes the resource more scarce. I think what players will do is compensate by just spamming more of them. This mod does the opposite, it is greatly increased production in hopes of reducing spamming of these blocks.

Hello! Really like you're mod. I just had a question about it interacting with another mod:

Basically it reduces the speed that H2 is produced and makes the engines more powerful, so it tries to push you towards needing fueling depots instead of just cramming some ice into your ship.
While it affects the normal generators, it doesn't appear to affect this one. Is there anyway to manually adjust the output of this block or have it be compatible with this mod? Or is it always working as intended and it's not displaying correctly?

I have not had any other crash complaints.. try pulling those mods individually to pinpoint if there is a mod conflict and I can look into it. Also if you can post the error or logfile that helps.

Game Crashes when ever I try to select one of the modules in the build menu.
I do have quite a few mods including H2 rebalance and IO so not sure if some may be conflicting.

What you are describing sounds like the same behavior that the normal o2 gen does. It isn't efficient in those edge cases. It works by burning ice at a rate, not by x amount.

I have encountered the disappearance of hydrogen from the tanks, and I have also seen that other players have also encountered this situation. I checked it out and it was the "Upgradabe O2/H2 Generator" that was to blame, even if it was turned off, the disappearance occurs when the supply on the tanks is turned on, both stationary and attached via a connector. This generator also causes a bug with constant energy consumption for those who use ventilation. When the generator is on and all the oxygen tanks are full, the ventilation takes some oxygen from the tanks, but the amount of oxygen produced in one stroke is more than can fit in the tank and no replenishment occurs (thanks to Keen Software), while the ice is not consumed (seemingly), but the energy is consumed in full, which is 10.5MW, with all modules at speed.

While using this I noticed it doesn't use the modules the same way vanilla does, example being refineries.
Placing one type of module causes the other two types of values to decrease, ie one speed makes that multiplier 200% but power and efficiency becomes 50% and 77%. Is that an intended consequence or a bug?

So thank you very much for the update! I also notice that the info in the terminal goes back to as if no modules are present after reloading the game might be just a visual bug when i have more time ill go into creative and double check as for other mods i use only a few visual mods. Oh and on our server we are using 2 generators that each use 4 yield and 2 power modules.

I made a hydrogen rebalance mod for Industrial Overhaul and used this as an option for a bigger than vanilla O2H2 generator for IO. go by what the control panel says. build info tells you what it knows about the block you're pointed at, i wouldn't trust it to know or care about what other blocks are attached.

@DisasterAhead I do not know the answer to this. If it follows keen's upgrade module system then probably works? All I can say is test and see.
@Cak If I do anything of the sort it would be a separate mod. This one will stay simple and to the point.

You ever thought of making an Industrial Overhaul version of this? I ask because IO is really needing a bigger and faster H2 particularly with some tweaks I am applying that make ice not a free way to get energy. I might just try it as is but I think the upgrade modules might mess with IO since they were disabled to help balance all the refinery changes of IO.
