I second the thoughts on purple. Maybe some emerald green has a place in there somewhere? like the handles on the Royal Consorts. but take that with a pinch of salt, my taste is known to err on the side of gaudy at time. This is elegant AF, you want to be careful not to loose that with too many updates

Maybe try a dark red. Like a maroon.
