The description still is not that clear, perhaps you can write "empire wide" to it?

I really like the wonders that you make, but I think they're to overpowered... was that the intention?

Ise is the most revered shrine in Japan, I believe it is to Ameterasu who the Imperial Family traces their lineage to, she was the Goddess of the Sun and time.
regalmanemperor  [ophavsmand] 11. jan. 2014 kl. 21:22
Itsukushima has already been done
I added Ise to my list
{Tweaker}Spets767 11. jan. 2014 kl. 3:20
Japan has some amazing shrines, Itsukushima and Ise come to mind of the top of my head.
regalmanemperor  [ophavsmand] 11. jan. 2014 kl. 3:17
really like the cathedrals from there, the onion domes and this too
but I gotta do some japanese statues first

That is debatable, I believe the Mariinsky was the Kirov? They are both very famous but the Alexander or Alexandrinsky is mainly known for its music, whereas the Mariinsky is also very well known for music and balet, possibly the most famous for balet. Also, I forgot to mention the Kazan Cathedral and the Bronze Horseman (largest rock ever moved by man power alone) and among the largest free standing statues out there.
regalmanemperor  [ophavsmand] 11. jan. 2014 kl. 3:01
so is Alexander Theatre more famous than the Mariinsky theatre

Very true, I personally prefer to call it Constantinople. They are both very gorgeous cities but I prefer St. Petersburg, It has many things other than the Hermitage and is huge in and of itself, hundreds of palaces just as large as Catherine's summer palace. The admiralty building, the Art schools, St. Isaac's Cathedral, Church of Savior on Blood, Kunstkamera, Bolshoi Zal, Alexander Theatre, Kronstadt, Peter and Paul Fortress, and as you mentioned the inumerable amount of canals and the rustic draw bridges that criss cross it like the Bolsheokhtinsky Bridge, anyways, there are many truly wonderful cities but St. Petersburg holds a special place for me.

just comparing the weather a bit
but Istanbul is ancient
Petersburg is new compared to it
but the Hermitage is awesome, so are the canals and the Catherine Palace and this palace
Istanbul takes more than a week to explore the sights
so its mainly Hermitage vs. Hagia Sophia (or Sultanahmet square together)

@Regalmanemperor
Istanbul has it's work cut out for it.
