I played this with a couple of Star Wars mods, which made things a little more enjoyable. Gunning down Stormtroopers like I was Han Solo felt was very fun.
I give it a solid
Had no bugs or performance issues.
Would be awesome to play an even longer version with more challenging combat.
My playthrough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSxwhWj9Wow
The ammo count is way too low for the amount of enemies.
I had to look up a guide to solve the button puzzle.
The visuals are stunning, tough. But man, is the gameplay not fun at all.
- The puzzles were good and didn't feel like I was being dragged by the nose.
- The enemies were nicely placed.
- The ammo is limited so aim carefully!
Only one con:
- There was immense flickering after the power-on puzzle and it made me extremely nauseous. Looking at fpsVR I saw the CPU usage have spikes every 10-20 frames. R5 3600x
There was some flickering on the floor but that migth be a combination of gpu drivers and my Vega 64 tho.

However I didn't mind walking around in what is so far the closest we can get to Halo VR. I would love to see another map maybe a bit longer though if possible.
Its in the first room, in a crate, I had to come back the first time too
I did it, made it down, eventually found a shotgun, but there was not enough ammo to beat the enemies. It's one of the few Alyx maps I just gave up on tbh.
If it were not for the enemies, I could've easily forgotten it was a Half Life level. It was refreshing to be in an a environment which made you forget it was an add-on.
Graphics were clean, control was solid, and I wanted to strangle that blue 'dog' (?) that liked to re-animate corpses. It was a good challenge, but was tough for myself to catch that blue critter.
Thank you very much for the effort. If you ever decide to adopt a level form the Alien universe, you've got one vote here.
