awesome stuff! it would be great if your could make decorative corner sections for these (like the ones you made for your panel houses 1)
baronjutter 23. apr. 2023 kl. 13:20
Oh it's so easy! Thanks! I'll try this out.

Hi, thanks for all your kind comments :) I'm personally not a supporter of buildings without collisions but you can easily make them such. Just open a folder named 2105098851 and in each subfolder of it in the building.ini files add a line
$HARBOR_EXTEND_AREA_WHEN_BULDING -50
under the name for example.
baronjutter 23. apr. 2023 kl. 11:19
I'd kill for a version of these with no collision. Some subtle overlapping can really help with placement, specially getting some gentle curves.
robs074  [ophavsmand] 28. okt. 2022 kl. 6:42
You probably can't build them perfectly straight, even with the snap tool, but you can get close enough :)
B O C C H I 28. okt. 2022 kl. 0:56
Really love your works man, was just wondering how do you line them up perfectly seamless? wondering they might be a way since i'm still new in the game and still figuring up how to build my cities seamlessly
Dr. Lopez 19. okt. 2022 kl. 3:23
Love all your work rob, I think I use the vast majority of your mods so I'm not going to comment on every one!
Terence Powderly 6. sep. 2021 kl. 20:49
I think these are great. Thanks for your mod.
LIGHTTECH2 17. juli 2021 kl. 0:13
so lovely to have a variety of buildings
ZavodDeshovok 24. okt. 2020 kl. 23:39
Sorry
robs074  [ophavsmand] 24. okt. 2020 kl. 23:38
You needn't have copied that comment to 20 items or so... I won't change the roof texture to blend with vanilla, the default textures are too dark. Roofs of the real counterparts are in shades of grey, not black.
ZavodDeshovok 24. okt. 2020 kl. 23:30
Wonderful! But Please can you change the textures of roof? Im a big fan of your works, they are awesome! but almost alll roofs are too different from those in vanilla, thats why when I build city threre is too much contrast, it makes my inner perfectionist crazy. I'm not demanding anthing, I have no right to demand. But I hope you will do it, if not, its not I problem, I will still love you!
geruch69 28. sep. 2020 kl. 10:20
>>You can also change them on your own if you don't like the view of it :)

i've already did it))
Anyway, thanks again for your mode - awesome models, quality textures, cool sizes - exactly what i needed.
robs074  [ophavsmand] 27. sep. 2020 kl. 11:10
The game seems to narrow the quality interval too much, 65% seems alright compared to my other residential buildings, these are much inferior compared to them. Anyway, this value is completely irrelevant at the moment, it's only used for automatic calculation of the capacity and I don't use it anyway. You can also change them on your own if you don't like the view of it :)
geruch69 27. sep. 2020 kl. 10:52
well, maybe in Poland this kind of buildings was not so good like in USSR, but really, it is not 65% liferating. 65% - liferating of old wooden house, you can see it in generated villages (the dark old wood buildings). In that village wooden houses you haven't water, balconies, even canalisation. City building made of bricks, with canalisation, water supply can't be the same as 60-years old wood village house. As i understand from your description, it may be similar to default-generated old bricks houses, estimated in vanilla as 80%. At least it can be the same as 5-storey khruschevka, the least comfortable multistorey house in vanilla. And i think, you know this building after many years of exploitation, and of course, its quality can dropped. Plus, with 65% you narrowing use of your mod - most users will not build it for such cost, it's uneffective. Sorry, i don't want to fire large disput again, but your estimate seems rather unbalanced.
robs074  [ophavsmand] 27. sep. 2020 kl. 9:51
There was a discussion about this topic already. In short, this is a specific type of buildings from Lublin which isn't any better than later constructions and has no balconies or lifts. They might be better in Russia or somewhere else, but not where I live.
geruch69 27. sep. 2020 kl. 9:20
Thanks for your mod!
But 65% - is very low rating for this buildings. I lived in house of this type, and i'm guarantee that it is much more comfortable, than khruschevka (and khruschevka is 78% liferating). In my opinion, there shall be rating about 85% or even more (maybe about 95%, like another stalinka in the vanila), cause 65% in game - it's liferating of old wood house in village. About heating - yes, there was an option of autonomus wood heating, but it was demontaged in 60-70s.
Ravenblood 17. aug. 2020 kl. 15:38
This will be awesome for my special industry villages. Coal mines that are out of nowhere, or energy plants that need their own city-away places, will have nice little things like this. Thank you.
We used to call, building like these the "Kádár kocka". Kádár - prime minister - kocka - cube.

They were small, compact, but sufficient. Not the most liked, but pretty good. All of them came with 2-3 rooms + needs.
robs074  [ophavsmand] 4. juli 2020 kl. 5:31
Oh, the gameplay perspective isn't exactly what I meant. I thought about some data on whether similar buildings were equipped with autonomous heating in reality.
aantono 4. juli 2020 kl. 5:13
I think it would add to a variety and present players with options. An early starter town could benefit from those, as well as those who are not huge fans of having to cover their cities with heating pipes but still want seasons... 😜

The game still allows for them to be centrally heated if there is a heat building in the range, otherwise they heat themselves!
robs074  [ophavsmand] 3. juli 2020 kl. 22:16
They have central heating now, but I'm not sure if they had it when they were built. I'd like some more arguments before I add it as a backup plan for heating in those buildings. Chimneys alone are not enough, even late prefab buildings have them, they can also be used for gravity ventilation.
aantono 3. juli 2020 kl. 21:40
Is it possible to add self heating to those? Based on the pictures and the timeframe, those have chimneys and were most likely self heated with a boiler in the basement...
Velesm198 14. juni 2020 kl. 11:21
This is a great asset, looks great in game! Now if there was also a 9-story version of these, i'd think i was in heaven! Great work, thank you very much!
robs074  [ophavsmand] 28. maj 2020 kl. 10:57
Sadly angles different from 90 degrees wouldn't work this way.
Vivick 28. maj 2020 kl. 10:28
Great work! If I may make a suggestion, A few Corner Buildings in angles other than 90 deg would be nice ;-)
Michur 25. maj 2020 kl. 23:41
Świetne!
Nux Vomica 25. maj 2020 kl. 11:26
Right. parking lots will do it.
robs074  [ophavsmand] 25. maj 2020 kl. 9:09
What for?
Nux Vomica 25. maj 2020 kl. 9:02
Very, very nice. But why no access to streets?
Shadow Dragon 25. maj 2020 kl. 6:02
Would really like more "modular" buildings like this.
Коржик 25. maj 2020 kl. 2:44
ok. I undestand logic.
robs074  [ophavsmand] 25. maj 2020 kl. 2:29
Oh, those look much more ornate and they have balconies too. If I modelled those I would give them a better quality of flats :)
robs074  [ophavsmand] 25. maj 2020 kl. 1:39
OK, it means that they could be more comfortable in other cities. I live in something you would consider "khrushchevka" (a brick block from the 60s, right?) and the flat itself looks almost the same as in the 50s building, but it has a big balcony and is newer.
PinkPonyGirl 25. maj 2020 kl. 1:36
By the way we have such complex in Alchevsk - used to be Kommunarsk - used to be - Warashylowgrad.
Looks just like on a prewyu but with more decorum...
PinkPonyGirl 25. maj 2020 kl. 1:31
khrucshevka and modernizm houses of 1970+ are not better, small kitchens, noises, high flours ant almost no garden spaces with clumbs. They are cosy for lonly people, but no redecorating can help. I was a couple of times in some humble "stalin" apartments and they were much more comfortable. Though inside, teir porches. stears and scenarious may be strange and crappy, which is counterintuitive. At least in modernizm buildings they mastered such things.
My own apartment was buils in 1956 - "the last stalynka" type and already has no decor outside, but both, flats and stears are well done, + it has a bomb-shelterish underground storages, fire safety gismoes and the giant communal TV antenna.
I would give my 4 store brick house 85-92% Cause it has problems with ceiling noises and whater insulation.
robs074  [ophavsmand] 25. maj 2020 kl. 0:51
@saurunus: Well, I've seen a flat in a similar building, but 3-storey (my aunt used to live there) and it wasn't anything special, it hasn't got a balcony and is quite old and would probably require redecorating even during the timespan of the game. That's why I gave it 65%. Maybe similar buildings in bigger cities were of better quality, I don't know. You can change it in the .ini files if you prefer a bigger value :)
siberian_forester_78 24. maj 2020 kl. 13:43
Magnificient.
Коржик 24. maj 2020 kl. 12:53
It's no 65% quality. It's 95. Better then khrucshevka.
PinkPonyGirl 24. maj 2020 kl. 2:38
Oh god so coool!

@aantono: Simply build them :) Their collisions are small enough.

aantono 23. maj 2020 kl. 17:03
How does one build them so close to each other, like in the first picture?
fjorkar 23. maj 2020 kl. 15:41
serdecznie dziękuję
KAPITAN 23. maj 2020 kl. 15:38
Cool
Gimby_nie_znajo 23. maj 2020 kl. 14:55
SUper, tylko dlaczego 65%?
wseslaw 23. maj 2020 kl. 14:28
It's nice
Comrade Joe 23. maj 2020 kl. 10:56
jezas that's nice :)
Now we need that but in Moscow/Leningrad-type monumentalism :D
