@Dovahkiin
Obsidian? Figures. It is also known as, and kind of acts like, "Volcanic Glass".
FishStick 8.8.2015 klo 5.47
whatever
One Whole Dragon 23.6.2015 klo 7.37
The glass equipment was originally going to be black like this, and was to be called obsidian.
Computermaster  [tekijä] 29.1.2014 klo 13.35
Yes, it also affects armor. If your mod is loading after this one, then it's overriding it.
Giant Neckbeard 29.1.2014 klo 4.45
Does this mod only affect the weapons? I made a set of Glass Armor, and it was still green ... is there any 'load order' I need to look out for, especially with mods that add types of weapons to the game?
Dženan BA 8.11.2013 klo 21.58
Better for thieves. Who wants to be sneaking around in green armor? Black blends with the shadows.... Overall good mod
asian5495 8.11.2013 klo 8.59
does the armor color change too.?
Wcblokhoudertje 26.7.2013 klo 7.50
The word you were looking for was obsidian Nomad
PrinceBaka 17.3.2013 klo 19.50
has a weird green luster to it :/

Dread5, in Elder Scrolls lore, Ebony IS a form of glass.

Ebony, a rare volcanic glass, is one of the most precious substances in the Empire, mainly found in Vvardenfell, buried in the lava flows from Red Mountain. Veins can also be found in Solstheim, and occasionally on mainland Skyrim. Raw ebony itself is an extremely hard, durable, black glass-like substance.

@davidjones helmet=armor
Faustian Device 10.6.2012 klo 19.08
sigh... ebony isnt glass "Ebony is a dense black wood, most commonly yielded by several species in the genus Diospyros, but ebony may also refer to other heavy, black (or dark colored) woods from unrelated species. Ebony is dense enough to sink in water. Its fine texture, and very smooth finish when polished, make it valuable as an ornamental wood. The word "ebony" derives from the Ancient Egyptian hbny, via the Ancient Greek ἔβενος (ébenos), by way of Latin and Middle English."

I subscribed but my glass helmet isn't black, any ideas why?
that_guy 5.6.2012 klo 1.08
Sorry for the offence, I didn't mean it, my opinion is changed, I think it looks really good in its own right, I wonder if the maker also included Chillrend? If not, it'd be nice if he did, a black ice sword would look great.
MaxMinerva 29.5.2012 klo 20.08
Looks very nice. Would it be possible to create a mod that allows for more than just the colors you have made? You could modify the smithing to allow armor and weapons to be crafted with added gemstones to change the color, perhaps. Rubies for red glass, amethyst for purple, etc.
True Decepticon 28.4.2012 klo 18.25
wow i went insearch for a black glass mod and found this to be by far the best. thank-u.
Godvana 11.4.2012 klo 9.03
@urenthesage, they are similar, ebony is LIKE black glass, but it is not glass. Ebony armor is made from Ebony and Glass is made from Malachite and Moonstone. Plus one is light and one is heavy.
jams410 10.4.2012 klo 6.54
yeh good mod hated the green
urenthesage 9.4.2012 klo 4.11
um, ebony IS black glass. thats learned in morrowind though, dont know if you played it..
Never_Cardbored 8.4.2012 klo 11.56
anyone else think it's funny that davidjones is trollin like a b****
shawnsrg007 8.4.2012 klo 10.53
Not all glass is green davidjones...ever heard of "Stained Glass" comes in tons of colors and shades...black being one. Great mod
Kit the Casino Indian 6.4.2012 klo 23.17
@davidjones who gives a shit it looks cool
that_guy 6.4.2012 klo 2.14
It's not glass if it's not green, it's made from malachite damnit, not obsidian, you should remake this into a mod which allows you to make obsidian armor, if has the same stats as regular glass armor but with a monochrome colouration, that would be better, it's a nice thought though.
rickyz123 5.4.2012 klo 19.13
could you make some sort of silver recolour or steel recolour
Shir Blackwater 5.4.2012 klo 7.14
ah, oops.
browsed a bit further and found the black glass armor, nvm.
But the question about being able to craft this as non replacing armor/weapons still stands :3
Shir Blackwater 5.4.2012 klo 7.10
Any chance you could do this for the armor as well as an optional crafted armor?
Like say, you need to have the glass armor, and re smith it with some ebony to get the black glass armor...

I'd prefer things that don't replace content, but other than that this is a good looking mod. :)
Beanz 4.4.2012 klo 15.31
Thank you so much! Does this work on all glass weapons? I tried doing this myself, but couldn't save the retexture to my game.
B_N_esoteric 4.4.2012 klo 14.52
Is there a way to turn the whole item into a semi-transparent glass texture?
