Thx for all comments. I would like to fix some issues as soon as possible, but I have little time for this.

I've been most excited about this tool because i've been looking to get oval auras for some wargaming. I've given this a good try several times, and its worked almost perfectly. For whatever reason, the button/aura will disappear despite proper offsetting. In addition, I've gotten oval auras to appear at the right scale but at a 90 deg to the models base. After switching the x/y values and playing with the rotation feature, for whatever reason, the reference oval will be in line with the model but the aura remains mostly unchanged.
