Also, the Kaita's legs have awkward bending and won't go in a simple and straight up or down, like the legs want to twist and snap off.

The style of this reminds me of the Bionicle PS2/Gamecube game.

I can see, but the lenses are universally blue, and the Matoran and Turaga's feet still don't touch the ground.

Also, Akaku always has blue lenses.

Nice work. Just one complaint, the Turaga and Matoran's feet don't actually touch the ground when I try to stand them up, giving them a mild hover effect. Help?

This is a nice balance of both the biological and mechanical parts of the Toa that they tried to portray in the films and online stories. You of course don't have to take this suggestion, but I think you should add more hints of the biological elements. Maybe show some flesh within the gaps and folds in the armor, similar to the character models in the Mask of Light.
