@Atheking Personally - I didn't like it. It seems just absurd - basically it just adds more versions of every tech, with higher numbers, to the point of going into millions. More ship parts (there are already too many, and all become obsolete), more techs that simply increase numbers, more ship roles, more buildings again for numbers and so on. Some of things are unique and fun, like new faction from Mass Effect, but the rest is just bloat for the sake of bloat. Creating a problem (higher numbers for AI), to fix a problem (higher numbers for player). I just hate that approach.

Gigastructures is already dancing on the edge between bloating and making fun unique content, ACOT just turned the game too chaotic down the line - I got way too powerful because of ACOT bonuses, and the game lost all stakes pretty fast.

But - try it out yourself, install it before gigas. Previous versions (year ago or more) did cause a lot of crashes, not sure about now.

How much does ACOT break the game, does it cause crashes or just makes it inbalanced? I would like to try it out but also don't know where to put it in the load order.

@Manfreakez Rechecked and at least loading order seems fine. You only reinstalled the game, or it's a completely fresh installation, including mods? I recommend deleting the workshop mod folder as well, and redownloading them, just in case.

Cant seem to get this to load, full reinstall and double check of mod order as well, no other add ons, 62/62 mods

@JerkyGunner It's from Kasako's Easter egg relics and "Spontaneous infection of headhunter skunks" options, which you get 3 days after a game start with Dark Blue UI remake mod. I've updated description as well regarding this.

In my current game with this collection I got an archaeology event that turned my scientist into an overpowered immortal anime character and I'm not gonna lie - it kinda took me out of the game haha

Any idea which mod that's from? Might turn it off or change setting if possible in the future.

@JerkyGunner As far as I know - it only needs Utopia dlc for Gigastructural Engineering.

Just because I like to have "everything" - I recommend either buying an almost complete Ultimate bundle and then the rest to have everything, or not buying anything at all except base game, and then using... other methods of unlocking all dlc's. Considering how terribly Paradox has been treating players recently, how the quality of dlc's dropped in every single game, while prices increased - I am kinda getting over and fed up with the whole company and their titles.

Does this collection require any DLC? If not, is there any you would recommend?

Apparently I need to stop trying to find mod collections at almost midnight. I just did it now that I am more awake and it took no time at all. Apparently if I click add more mods and check mark the mods in the right order before clicking add to playset it is placed in the right order. Took me like 5 seconds lol. I thought I would have to add to playset and then order the mods which would have been more tedious. Thank you for the reply.

Also my previous mod list was put in randomly with virtually no sorting hence why my old mod list has stopped working. Come to think of it, I am surprised my previous mod list worked for so long, it was basically held together with duct tape. Also thank you for the playset, it has all of my old mods in a perfect order.

@stephenkohnle53 There aren't that many mods in this list, I think the easiest option would be simply to do it manually - make a screenshot of my list, then sort your list manually. You only need to do it once, and properly sorting loading order and checking if all the mods are up to date is important.

I have seen lists with hundreds of mods just put in there randomly without any sorting or order - it just doesn't work. This isn't a game where you can use many mods at once, way too many shared and conflicting files.

I have many of these mods in another mod list of mine. I can probably delete the old mod list since according to Irony mod manager it has 3789 conflicts. Anyway since I spent an embarrassing amount of time on that dumbster fire mod list I made, what is the easiest way to download this mod list into a single new modlist knowing I already have some of these mods subscribed to. Also if there is an obvious way I am not seeing, its probably because its 11pm and I am always tired. Also I woke up at 630am. I hope my weirdly worded comment makes you chuckle before giving advice, lol.

@RambosBodyguard Fixed it. Although I have never noticed any difference. Maybe because dark blue overwrites them both anyway.

just an fyi, Giga needs to be above UI Overhaul otherwise UI Overhaul doesn't work.

@AstarothTheInquisitor You didn't. There were more mods like "expanded stellaris traditions and ascension perks" as well as "zenith of the fallen empires" which weren't updated yet. I've added those two mods. Zenith needs to be tested first, as it conflicts with a lot of other mods.

Also some other mods in the list add a few new ascension perks and traditions.

I don't really understand why you put traditions and ascension expansion slot without any mod to increse those. did I miss something?
