Shiny! It is a pretty basic principle, a seat, a battery and a few thrusters. It has been iterated thousands of times. However, the result is seldom this interesting. Cool. In real life, I would worry about so much glass, because one metric I judge such vehicles on is how spectacularly they crash. ;)

Build a rotor head on a base and attach the rotor of the ship to the rotor head. But you're right to ask because it's not explained in the description.
