I like these but they shouldn't replace the default unit icons

Yes default icons absolutely suck , you would think there would be a dozen good modders covering this subject and up to date

Please update this mod, for god's sake

Missing half the icons sadly.

original white icons for CoH unit types are gone, only green ones remain, and not all of the unit icons where converted into HOI's particular shade of green for it's unit icons.

Why are my icons not showing up?

On the view pictures row of the mod, #4 view [enlarged] shows 3 vertical rows, going down the center row, the 21st symbol (of 25 items) from the top is the peace sign .
Yet when I look for the peace sign using this mod IN-GAME, what I do see are about 1/4 of the symbols shown, and the OTHER 3/4 symbols ARE BLANK ! No peace sign is to be seen .

WHY cannot I find this ??

As USSR, for NKVD; I miss the circular peace sign ... can you do 1 in white, and another in bloody red ??

can you bring back icons like: Volksgrenadier, Guards Assault and Guards Airborne, Lieutenant, it's just for the variety nothing more, no pressure

I will try my best to retain quality and visibility at the same time, however, I cant gurantee anything though as the small icons are very small (30x12 pxl)

Thanks for quick reply. The change of color makes the contrast between icon and counter background a bit too low. They are still visible of course, but hard to quickly find at a glance, especially when using similar icons like "Private" and "Corporal" together. Could you please make them brighter as before?

@metgyre I removed several icons because they looked too similar. You can tell me the icons you’ve liked and I can take a look at them again

@ARSHO The brightness issue is just a change of color. The blank icons will be removed in the next update, these were just the placeholders for the older icons.

Icons on map are not as bright as in division designer so that it's hard to see them on map. Plus, almost half of icons in division designer are blank, the last 2 visible ones are fort and factory, is this normal?

MAJOR UPDATE OUT NOW!

Changes:

- Many icons have been adapted to the Hoi4 art style.
- Removed unnecessary icons (most of them were too similar anyways)
- Updates will resume on daily/weekly basis

If you see this, you can post suggestions in the suggestions tab or in the comments down below and I will look into creating them if its possible ofc!

Please could you add the British Royal Marines globe and laurel and the USMC eagle globe and anchor icons? :)

Hi, @Pillbox20 I am currently working on decreasing the amount of icons to a necessary amount (ie. icons that look too similar will get removed etc.). Also reworking the icons to make em hoi4 standard. Since I am no artist and got lots of other things to do this takes some time but I will roll out an update for sure

The icons are for some time in lower quality.
Before they were in higher quality and more clean.
Can they be fixed in a future update?

hey, I have taken a closer look into the issue. The problem is, the mod itself uses more unit icons and therefore the game chooses the files of the icon mod. Since there is no mod hierarchy system, I have no clue how to handle file clashes inside hoi4. I'll inform myself about this but for the time being you'll have to play without UIR

I love your mod btw. It's one of my longest used mods for HOI4 together with colored buttons and colored units/bases. It helps so much with keeping the orientation.

Maybe (if it isn't too much work) split them into a "white version" and a "green version" mod?
So people can choose whichever they like more instead of flooding the UI?
Besides that I like the massive amount of icons to choose from, but that might just be me ^^

Hey, Great idea with recoloring the vanilla ones, I am going to add both the white and the green icons so everyone is happy once I am done my other project. Thinking about reducing the amount of icons as well as most of them are abundant.

I agree with Coozer as a lot of the green icons seem to have a certain "fuzzyness" (probably from the recoloring process) to them. Maybe coloring the vanilla icons white as well might be an idea?

The icons are changed to green because many of you wanted them to be green. I can make a white varient too but that will wait for now.

Would it be possible to add country flags, so i could label my puppet troops by flag?

Can you please reduce the number of icons? There are so many, I can't even find a generic infantry helmet. I feel like there are a lot of no-needed icons.
