No, you don't have to own any other game for this thing to work.
I dunno what could possibly cause this error, but this kinda stuff happens sometimes, people would probably suggest reinstalling both TFA base and Shared parts, as well as checking for other addons that might somehow onflict with viewmodels, that's as much as i know. :v

Probably something to do with playermodels' arms, or maybe TFA base is bugging out, try reinstalling INS2 Shared pack, this might help.

Hey guys, I'm going to guess that you have your animations named something really generic in the QC. Try renaming them to something else because I had my own custom weapon that had broken sounds installed on my laptop, and the broken sounds bled over to the Steyr since the QC was named the same. Try making the names more unique to avoid this in the future.

Yeah it's definetely the best SWEP Base on GMod at the moment. I don't think it's perfect at all: it could support many other features like Bipod System or Enhanced Recoil Movement ( The gun's Viewmodel moves a bit with the recoil) and some more, but as it is it's pretty viable.

All i can say is try disabling whatever beta branch you're using, TFA has some problems with them.
