bro please tell me where i can use it
VacuumTube  [ophavsmand] 21. juli kl. 9:38

@VacuumTube

@VacuumTube

This is nothing new and it's related to the game dynamics, I cant change that
Tuvka 19. juli kl. 3:52
@VacuumTube
Is it planned to fix the mod or improve it for the latest version of the game?
On the previous page I described the problem with the mod in detail.
Maiker7 10. juli kl. 10:03

A big problem I have with the game after you get to more modern eras is that all these huge towers and skyscrapers don't house any more people than a little apartment buildings 1/10th the size. Is there any way to mod population/job numbers so that the model of the building more closely matches its stats? So a 15 story tower might have 30 people vs the 12 or so in the 5 story apartment?
FingernailsAreYummy 4. sep. 2024 kl. 15:36
how exactly do i reduce the population
VacuumTube  [ophavsmand] 30. apr. 2024 kl. 12:50
I am pretty sure I did it that way for a reason, most likely the game cannot handle capacity 0. But if you wanna try it goto script file adjustTownBuildingCapacity.lua and comment out the lines:
if capacity<=0 then capacity = 1 end
N0neGiv3N 29. apr. 2024 kl. 8:38
Is there any value that a user can input to get a building capacity to be 0 instead of 1? I just want the buildings to appear in my world without anyone in them so I can have the look of the city but without the people slowing down my world.

If I could auto generate cities with 0 capacity it would make a world building so much easier and less time consuming than plopping assets one at a time.

If I have to change something in the mod files I will do that, but I just need some guidance.

Thank you

Sadly Im with @Tuvka - even without overload stations. The number of goods or people is reduced very fast. With enough capacity and not long waiting time... The idea was good.
thebigbluesky 5. nov. 2023 kl. 0:56
Tuvka, do you mean stations are overloaded? If the number is blue it means there is not enough 'storage' for passengers/cargo, which causes a slow loss of product. Pretty sure it's not a flaw with this mod, though. Click on your stations, click 'configure' and add more passenger/cargo storage.
Dramaticuser 24. okt. 2023 kl. 12:55
what's logging?
Apex 25. juli 2023 kl. 13:54
Soooo, in theory, right? When I set the factor lower in the config, I *should* get bigger cities in the sense of number of houses, but pop should be the same. Am I right?
Tuvka 30. apr. 2023 kl. 15:00
Bro, awesome mod! Was...

The problem is that since 2020 there have been many changes and it needs to be updated for the latest version of the game.
That was the introduction, and now the problematic facts:
I don’t know how the mod now affects the development and filling of cities, but when it is installed, then:
1) Passengers quickly get tired of waiting for the train at the stations and leave
2) Goods in factories also get tired of lying on the platforms and disappear, moreover, if the train took the goods and carried them far (1/4 - 1/3 of the average card), then the money for the delivered The train receives the goods, but the goods immediately disappears, it does not get to the city or to the transshipment station.

But, as soon as the mod is turned off, everything falls into place. Passengers wait for the train, the goods do not evaporate, but accumulate and wait for their train on the platforms.

Huge request to update. Please :)

p.s. 1850+ year in game for testing ;)
Rowan 3. mar. 2023 kl. 6:22
Yes, it appears to be working now, thanks
VacuumTube  [ophavsmand] 3. mar. 2023 kl. 6:08
For modsettings to apply, game has to be reloaded.
Town tuning mod is doing something similar with population, maybe there is interference.
Rowan 2. mar. 2023 kl. 14:53
Alright, it still doesn't work updating on an already saved game, however it does apply when starting a new one. I have no idea why, but its fine, I'll just start a new one at my desired setting and go from there.
Rowan 2. mar. 2023 kl. 14:33
Okay, I disabled all my other mods, and its working. I just need to figure out which one is causing the problem
Rowan 2. mar. 2023 kl. 14:17
Town growth is enabled, time is running on the fastest, and I tried editing cargo demands, no luck. I also tried just using it in the map editor. I set the factor to 2, spawned in a tiny town, set it to 0.5 and spawned in another. They were both the same size.
VacuumTube  [ophavsmand] 2. mar. 2023 kl. 14:01
Town growth enabled? Are the buildings being upgraded? It takes some time. I think they are updated immediately when you change the cargo demanded in the editor.
Rowan 2. mar. 2023 kl. 13:35
This mod doesn't appear to be doing anything. I have it installed and enabled, common API as well, and I can edit the population factor number just fine. But when I save the settings and leave the game running for a while, the population does not change. I don't have any other population or town growth mods/

The mod really improved the performance on my system quite a bit. Thank you for that!
There is just one thing: Fewer passengers means lower income. I wished there was a fix for that but income from freight is the only way to make a profit for now.
RutraNickers 4. juni 2022 kl. 8:35
does this works with natural town growth?

Usually, there should be no updates (from steam). You could download as a manual mod from transportfever.net

General Tso 4. feb. 2022 kl. 16:08
Thank you for this great mod!

I have a bad habit of building lots of huge cities. This mod makes the game much more enjoyable while doing that.
