i also had a suggestion of soaking 10 filters in water to get a tiny -1 stress nicotine liquid but it might be a bit silly to include on the mod :)

This is despite the fact that I have significantly reduced all loot.

There are too many packs of smokes from your mod, there are 15 packs of the smoker mod and one pack of hydrocraft in the box.

I have a problem with B41. Mod was working fine a few months ago. Now whenever cigarettes show up in the loot pool, it's ALWAYS 20 packs. Whether I kill a zombie that has cigarettes or loot a desk, it's always 20 packs.. Looted Roseville and I collected 300 packs of cigarettes before I decided I had enough to last me a lifetime.

hi nebula, i had an idea for a new use for filters

"10 filters + mug of water" = "weak Leeched nicotine juice"
(its basically a way to use up filters, and gain -1 stress from the tiny amount of nicotine that leeches out of the filters, into the water) :o)

The bug where -stress channels on TV n some book multiply stress instead, has been plaguing me till I found this mod
But there was a fix in More Traits the whole time

is this ever gonna get updated for b42?

B42 has a different structure to even get mods to show up. So if a made hasn’t been updated since before b42 dropped (17 Dec 24), then it wouldn’t even show on b42s mod page regardless of functionality and would still need to be updated.

Honestly I don't know how the mod loader for B42 works, I asked because if it load mods in the same way, It will work fine.

The first step in telling if a mod is updated yet for B42 is to check when it was last updated. If it was last updated before 17 Dec, 2024 then no, it wouldn't be updated yet for b42.

hey just so you know ive not had any issues with your mod and More Traits, only compatibility issue is spawning with extra smokes but More Traits has an option to disable that, also mod looks good

Got another question, what did you mean by this mod being partially compatible with the More Smokes mod in the description?

hi so im attempting to lose the dynamic smoker trait and was wondering if eating the nicotine gum counts as smoking or is it a viable substitute to lose the trait?

I can't know, it seems like partially - yes, users mentioned this in the comments. But I myself have not tested the Smoker - with the mod you mentioned.

yes this is the problem, craft is not working right know. I am doing with another ingredient. The main problem is when i try to craft insect spray, one crafting recipe (the one uses 25x cigarette butt) is not working. I have all the ingredients for the craft but in the recipe shows different kind of cigarette butt. Both of them same mode items so there is no conflict with other mods. in the link you can see they are not same. One is white and one is brown cigarette but.

(but it could be one of the many crafting entries listed there on the left of the screen - @umio i would try to select a different recipe for the same thing to see if it makes a difference if you have other mods too, or to try right-clicking on the actual brown cig butts you have in inventory to try the recipe from there, assuming you have all of the needed items (i only have b41 here)

(hi i think they were noticing that the gfx icon shown in the crafting screen, in the bottom right, looked a bit white like the cig filters, and the main cig butts in the top left screen have a brown icon) - if the recipe still works its not a big problem though) :)

New cigarettes in the base game are definitely a good step by the developers, many thanks to them for this. The new vanilla cigarettes will greatly simplify the code and methods of the Smoker mod. In fact, most of the Smoker code is a crutch for vanilla cigarettes. At the same time, vanilla still lacks many small improvements and features, as well as items and interactions with them - which the Smoker mod provides to the player. In any case, the Smoker mod will now be even better and more functional.

This right here is why everyone needs to just be patient with b42 and wait. Some mods have had some (or all) parts of their mods built into the base game.

Man, vanilla cigarette have smoker functions now, I.e take cigs out of pack, hopefully you will not abandon, love getting Cartons and menthols

Unless, of course, World War III happens first... and for now, we're approaching it very quickly.

All I know so far in vanilla is that as a smoker, I didn't start with any cigs and in the first 5 trailers I searched before getting eaten to death, I didn't find a single cig! Oh, this is going to be fun!
