also one more thing for you to be aware of if your weapon doesn't work like it is supposed to and there is no error message... you are not crazy you are experiencing a logic error. You need to go through your code and figure out what went wrong.. If you still have trouble try the steam Garry's mod forums (not my favorite place to go but its still something). Number 2 is to look up tutorials on garry's mod coding. Go to CODE BLUE's garry's mod modding tutorials on youtube. He is the best at it.

any multiplayer game its difficult to manage code with three different kinds of files in a mod. Client, shared, and server. That is why most modders involving games mod singleplayer games due to it being easier. however lua is confusing since it doesn't follow most common programming languages, All I recommend to make your load easier is using the console whenever something goes wrong with the mod in-game. Error messages are your best friend.
