What about the nexus mod that individualizes shout cooldowns?

so, uh, workaround so i dont need talos blessing
-have amulet of the nine mod
-still applies base game amulet of talos buff
-cry because now you have no need for some petty fucking shrine
-scream with delight as now you can fus ro dah any motherfucker who dares breathe in your general direction, and have the cooldown be over with by the time some stupid fucking guard with arrow-kneecaps and a sweet roll stuck in his helmet comes over to whack you with a hammer

The unrelenting force shout does not give any experience for me, but other shouts like fire/frost breath do... Why is this?

Is this mod compatible with A Tale of Tongues standard edition?

Well, thinking from an NPCs point of view, this makes the Dragonborn a harder person to haggle with...I like it.

how did you add speech experience to the shouts?

Well done, a mod definately worth having, it makes sense to think you need less time to shout as your skill in the Way of the Voice advances. Finally I am not stuck dodging about whilst waiting to be able to shourt again.

I dont hink this mod supports the soul tear shout, because I compared my xp after using it a few times and it didn't change.

OK, so, I had fun with this mod, but decided it was too easy and uninstalled it. But the shout cooldowns stayed. Then I reinstalled and uninstalled again and now I have negative shout cooldowns. How do I fix this?

I really, REALLY, love hits mod. But now I am torn in two between two mods: ACE adds also many niceties to the speech perk tree (and also pretty much overhauls it), as well as introduces some very nice shop mechanics. As in, if you play as say, a argonian, buy anything from a dark elf/dunmer you get higher prices, since they dislike your race. And that naturally works the other way too.

My problem? these both mods change the speech skill tree, and I have to choose between the two. If only I could merge them together...

Just ignore my previous comment. I just got the CTD again. Guess it's dawnguard DLC that's flawed.

Just wanted to let you know that my game kept doing a CTD in Dimhollow crypt (Dawnguard) in a specific area. I tried switching graphics settings at first which didn't have any effect. Then I started disabling mods and when I got to this mod the CTD stopped.

@Drunk Kuu: How's your speech level? Mine is 93 and even with the shouts with long cooldowns (they are supposed to give more exp than minor shouts) it takes loooooonger time to level up speech skill via shouting, I have the latest official patch installed and it works fine for me, i checked just 10 minutes ago! Try to load your game and check where is the exp bar of your speech, go around a little using whirlwind sprint, aura whisper, clear sky, etc...when you encounter an enemy go with "battle shouts" and gradually check if your speech exp bar goes up!
Ps: remember...is veeeery slow if your speech skill is high! Hope this helps you and sorry for my poor English ;)

I haven't been able to get this mod to level up when I shout since the last skyrim patch. Not sure what's up.

My shout cooldown is -14.2 using the blessing of talos or the amulet after getting the first speech perk without *any* speech mods involved even after deleting and reinstalling the game, no idea why or where to ask for help.

xyrios: The only thing I can think of is some sort of mod incompatibility. Is it possible there is another mod you have installed that also tries to modify the Speech perks?

Hi Evil! I downloaded this mod i while ago and it worked great! But now I have reinstalled Skyrim because I messed around too much with the ini files and skyrim broke.. I downloaded all my mods again after the reinstall, including yours. But now the mod does not seem to work. The cooldowns are vanilla even tough I have 3-4 speech perks. I have tried to delete the mod, and then install it again and I even tried to download the Nexus verstion but no luck. Do you have any clue of why this has happened. I really want to have this mod up and running again. Its one of the best perk mods!

Dragonheart, that means it's working. That's supposed to happen.

This is an awsome mod and it really provides a powerful motive for joining the Bard's College and levelling speech. It became my second maxed out skill after sneak, something I've never done before.

This mod makes a totally non-magical (i.e. spell free) Dragonborn much more feasible and really improves the vanilla experience!

I think it is well-balanced and you really begin to notice an improvement as you level, but I would perhaps suggest increasing the maximum reduction a little further above 75% for totally maxed out heroes (I used the console to bring it up to 90% with the blessing and amulet).

Will this take care of the shout i have ( worldwind shout ) that i have all the words for but for some reason when i shout only the first word works, then my player stops and says the rest. AND YES MY FINGER IS HOLDING DOWN THE Z KEY

I don't want to bug you, because I know that you have already changed the XP gain rate. But I have to agree with gpsgiraldi. I have been using a sword + shield char since I downloaded the mod, using fire breath (meditated version for increase damage of course). With all 3 ranks that I've been using for quite a while in every fight. My speech is now at 38 and my one handed/block are in the late 60's (using lover stone). I would recommend a very small XP increase, other than that this mod is awesome, it lets me use builds that have shouts as a big part of the build, and lets me feel like I earned it too (instead of just instantly lowering shout cooldowns with no effort).

Sorry bother but I understand the XP rate used to be very high, once I had a character with 70 speech around level 30... but right now its too low, I often ask myself if the mod is even working... my favorite shouts are Unrelenting Force and Marked for Death, have them both maxed to 3 words, but still take me a lot of shouting to advance in level... if you mind taking a look at it again thanks, anyway love this mod already, great idea, will keep using of course.

I always thought Speech skill should be responsible for increasing follower limits.. Would be more balanced than all these mods that just automaticly do it which I dont like

I used a similar mod that leveraged ScriptDragon to do this before. I like being able to do so now with less reliance on code injection.

Probably? As far as I can tell, that mod simply overrides the vanilla voice files, and doesn't affect the game data itself, so I don't think there should be a conflict.

Would this mod work with the mod that changes the audio for Fus Roh Dah to the audio from the trailer?

I've reduced the Shout XP gain by half; I think this is probably fair since there are still the normal ways of gaining Speech.

How Speech leveling works: it takes just under 1.5 million transaction gold worth of Speech XP to get from 15 to 100. Passing a Speech check is worth 75 Gold times your current Speech level (so at level 90, that's 6750 gold). Right now I have it set so that Shouts give you 5 Gold worth of XP per second of base cooldown.

It only takes four-six instances of Persuasion, even when Speech is at level 90, to gain a level. The amount of speech exprience doesn't grow much between levels to begin with. That's the fault of the game makers not the modder. My speech is already at 100 after taking advantage of talking to the guy at the tasting counter in Riften so levelling doesn't matter to me. Awesome mod! Provided no bugs mess me up. Jury's still out on that. No test plays. :( Off to test now....

Please reduce the amount of Xp gained from the Shouts. I was level 30 in Speech at the start of downloading this. Used a handful of shouts and I am already 42 speech. I believe it should really be set further back, for balancing issues. It should be like 50 Full shouts would level, ect ect.

Y'know, most of the mods I find are some pretty dumb shit, I gotta say. But every once in a while, I run across a mod that is such pure, simplistic genius, that it makes me stop and go "Why wasn't this part of the original game's design?"
